The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that the drama’s about to heat up in Genoa City thanks to May sweeps. Several GC residents will land in some trouble, so we should talk about all the tight spots and showdowns ahead. We’ve got a sizzling May sweeps preview to pass along, so here’s what Y&R fans can look forward to.
For starters, Amanda Sinclair will sport a new look as Karla Mosley temporarily fills in for Mishael Morgan. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Amanda will grow closer to Naya Benedict (Ptosha Storey) as she defends Sutton Ames (Jack Landron), but danger and destruction could be brewing.
Imani Benedict (Leigh-Ann Rose) recently offered Amanda a warning, but she’ll become a bigger part of the story during May sweeps. As for Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), he won’t be pleased once he realizes Amanda has disregarded his own threat.
Amanda will be digging a risky hole for herself – and there’s no guarantee Sutton is as innocent as he claims to be! Some mysteries will unravel during May sweeps, so there’ll be some shockers and shakeups.
While Amanda looks deeper for answers, Lily Winters’ (Christel Khalil) patience will run out. It’ll become increasingly clear to Lily that Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) is plotting to reunite with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), so Lily will fight back.
Unfortunately, the cracks in Lily and Billy’s relationship could widen due to Billy’s Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) obsession, which Y&R viewers know never really goes away! Billy will continue to target Adam through ChancComm, so Lily will grow more frustrated with him in the weeks ahead.
As for Adam himself, his time on the run seems to be winding down. Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will cooperate on Rey Rosales’ (Jordi Vilasuso) trap, which will involve making Adam believe Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) is seriously ill.
Will Adam fall for it – or at least know he has to check on his son just in case? Adam can’t avoid the cops forever, so his arrest may be looming. Fortunately, Victor won’t rest until his son’s cleared of all charges.
Y&R spoilers say Victor will pit Adam and Victoria against each other during May sweeps, so that could mean Adam will give Victoria a run for her money when it comes to the Newman throne.
Once Adam is officially a free man, Victor will indeed have big plans for him at Newman Enterprises. It turns out Victor isn’t done with Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) yet either and will spin a bad situation for his rival into the upper hand.
Ashland’s set to have a heart attack or at least some sort of cardiac episode that’ll set the stage for Victor’s power play. This could lead to Victor gaining control of Cyaxares after all, but Ashland should survive and continue his revenge on Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor).
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Kyle and Summer Newman’s (Hunter King) impending marriage will be at risk. Jabot will also remain under a growing attack, so that’ll need Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) attention in the weeks ahead.
As for Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope), she’ll take a gamble as she does whatever it takes to win Jack back!
Over with Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes), she’ll have to make more adjustments to her life now that she’s pregnant – especially since Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) will do plenty of hovering.
Y&R fans will also see Abby face more struggles over Chance Chancellor’s (Donny Boaz) lengthy absence, so their previously happy marriage could be headed for disaster.
Meanwhile, Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) will no doubt worry that Amanda’s getting in over her head with her rich and powerful family. It could affect Devon and Amanda’s romance in some surprising ways.
Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) may still have a shot with Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic), but she’ll have to prove she’s all in and can be trusted. As for Moses Winters (Jacob Aaron Gaines), he’ll become more and more smitten with Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster) – and the feeling will certainly be mutual.
