The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that there’s some good news to report about Mishael Morgan (Amanda Sinclair), who was sidelined at the CBS soap due to an eye injury. Morgan had to undergo emergency surgery, so she needed some time to recover and couldn’t continue in the role of Amanda.
That led to The Bold and the Beautiful alum Karla Mosley getting a call about serving as a temporary recast. Mosley was happy to rejoin the CBS soap family and fill in as Amanda, but she was always meant to be a short-lived replacement.
Although Mosley hasn’t made her onscreen debut yet, she’s already finished filming. Morgan recently revealed that she was back at the studio and ready to work once again. Let’s look at what Morgan had to say in a recent Instagram post.
“First day back and It’s like riding a bike! #yr @cbstv @youngandrestlesscbs,” Morgan said on Thursday, April 22. She put up a great pic of herself smiling in her dressing room.
Morgan was looking as good as new and ready to portray Amanda once again, so it’s a relief that she bounced back quickly and can reclaim her rightful place on Y&R.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Mosley’s scenes will begin airing on Tuesday, April 27 – and she’ll no doubt do a fantastic job.
Mosley always brought some impressive acting skills to the table in her role as Maya Avant on B&B. She’s got the screen presence and charisma needed to bring Amanda to life, so she should be an ideal temporary recast.
There’s no word yet on when Morgan’s first airdate back will be, but we’ll pass along updates as they come in. As for what’s ahead in Amanda’s storyline, some stunning twists are brewing as she works to find out the truth behind her father’s death.
Richard Nealon’s murder will bring a deeper mystery, so look for Amanda to find out some shockers related to her shady family.
