The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Monday, April 19, tease that Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) will face a new reality following the news that she’s pregnant.
So far, it’s been all about celebrating the fact that Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) and Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz) are going to be parents.
Mariah’s ecstatic to be part of the picture and is more than willing to help make this baby happen. However, that does mean taking on a massive commitment. Mariah will have to carry this little one for nine months and adjust her life as a result.
We’ll see the first real adjustment for Mariah on Monday, so that could mean morning sickness will strike hard. The Young and the Restless spoilers say there’ll be a new normal for Mariah to get used to, but she’ll accept that it’s just part of the sacrifice.
As long as Abby and Chance get a happy, healthy baby out of this, Mariah will be prepared for whatever challenges come her way. Speaking of challenges, look for Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) to deal with one on Monday, April 19.
Elena will get hit with the reality of a situation as well, so it’ll be interesting to see what’s ahead for her.
Y&R fans know Elena wrestled with her feelings for both Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) and Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) for quite some time. Elena wound up losing them both, but she recently decided she was over Devon and ready to move forward with Nate.
The trouble is Nate can’t trust Elena and doesn’t see that same path forward. Elena may struggle the next time she sees Nate since it’s sure to be awkward. Of course, there’s always a chance Elena will see Devon and Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) out somewhere looking cozy.
Now that Amanda and Devon are getting back on track, it could leave Elena feeling even more lonely and heartbroken. Elena may wish she could find that same happiness with Nate, but perhaps there’s still hope! Y&R characters have certainly been known to change their minds pretty often.
We should also mention Elena’s recent talk about imagining what it’d be like to have Devon’s babies. Since Elena’s going to face a tough reality check, it’d be a mistake to ignore the possibility that she’s pregnant.
It never hurts to keep all the options in mind since The Young and the Restless likes to throw curveballs!
As for Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), he’ll force Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) to stay on guard in Monday’s episode. Perhaps Victor will point out that he’s coming for “Billy Boy” with or without Cyaxares as a weapon.
Victor has all sorts of ways to seek revenge and do damage, so Billy had better be ready.
Nevertheless, it does look like Victor will make one last play to yank control of Cyaxares away from Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle).
Victor will rile Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) up enough to call off the deal completely later this week, April 19-23, but Ashland’s cardiac episode will become the priority.
