The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Monday, December 13 Update – Chance Sneaks Out, Leaves a Note for Abby

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Monday, December 13, teases that Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) will sneak out after leaving a note for Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) – and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will reflect on his painful past.

First on Monday’s Y&R episode, Abby will apologize for taking so long upstairs with Dominic Newman-Abbott-Chancellor, but she’ll soon see Chance has been busy. There’ll be a romantic setup complete with candles, music flowers and Champagne.

Chance will enjoy a romantic night with Abby, which they’ll cap off with lovemaking on the sofa.

Abby will eventually sense that Chance has something on his mind, so he’ll express how sorry he is for leaving her out of the blue with only a letter to explain.

After Chance assures Abby that he only expected to be gone for weeks or months, Abby will insist she has no room in her heart for anger.

Chance will admit to leaving at least partly because he felt like a failure. He couldn’t give Abby the baby she wanted, but she’ll argue that he still gave her Dominic by giving her the courage to start a family.

All that’ll really matter to Abby is being together now. Although Chance will promise not to make work a priority over family ever again, Abby won’t want him to feel like he has to change who he is for her sake.

Chance will let Abby sleep on his chest for a while, but he’ll ultimately get dressed and leave a note that says he’s going to get some air. It’ll be evident that Chance is still going through a rough time despite the act he’s putting on for Abby.

Next, Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) will realize Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) set the table for a quiet dinner at home. He thought they were going out, but Amanda will suggest that was just a decoy.

Amanda will serve up a spicy meal before settling in on the sofa with Devon, who’ll confess how much he misses Dominic.

Devon will talk about all the little ways Dominic communicated and will assume Chance is going to learn how to communicate with him, too.

Although Devon will be happy Chance and Abby have the family they wanted, it’ll be hard for Devon to adjust.

Devon was starting to think he’d get an opportunity to serve as Dominic’s father and even be called “Dad” one day. There’ll be part of Devon that’s struggling to let that dream go, so he’ll feel selfish for that.

Of course, Amanda won’t judge Devon and will think his bond will be special no matter what Dominic calls him. She’ll feel like Devon gives so much of his heart and will want him to feel loved in return.

Once Amanda is in bed, Devon will decide to go out for a drink. He’ll be taken aback when he finds Chance at Society’s bar. Chance will offer Devon the beer he already ordered since he won’t have touched it yet.

Devon will urge Chance to be honest about how he’s really holding up, so Chance will let his walls down a bit. He’ll feel like he’s pretending with everyone, even Abby since she thinks he’s the perfect husband and father.

Chance will think that’s far from the case and won’t feel worthy of the wonderful life he had waiting for him. He’ll have to wonder if he’s got what it takes to honor the commitments he’s made to his family.

At the Newman ranch, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will rush in wondering what the big emergency is. Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will admit she just wanted to get Nick and Victor in the same room, so she sent a text about a fake crisis.

Victor will think it’s a good idea to talk things out – just the two of them. After Nikki exits, Nick will air his grievances over Tuscany and the disaster that could’ve been.

He’ll think it bothers Victor that he has a conscience and won’t like that he brought Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) in the loop instead of him.

Victor will point out that Nick didn’t want Victoria Newman-Locke (Amelia Heinle) to marry Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi).

Victor won’t see what good it would’ve done to ask for Nick’s input. Nick would’ve been mad if Victor ignored his advice, so Victor won’t see what any of this matters.

After Nick suggests Victor doesn’t want to hear opposing viewpoints, Victor will admit he grew up without parents and had to make his own choices. He’ll reflect on his horrible father and the difficulties he faced at the orphanage, too.

The conflict will rev up for a bit, but Victor will really try to get through to Nick.

Victor will want Nick to see that they can respect each other, even when they don’t agree on things. Nick will acknowledge that maybe he’s too similar to his dad and that’s why there’s so much friction.

Victor will point out that Nick won’t ever need to have a conversation like this with his own children since they know he supports them.

Victor will think that means Nick is a better father than him in many ways.

After Victor praises Nikki for helping him do some good in his life, she’ll get choked up as she eavesdrops. Victor will note that when he sees Nick with his kids, he makes him happy and proud.

Nikki will be quite pleased as Nick embraces Victor and finally makes amends with him.

At The Grand Phoenix, Noah Newman (Rory Gibson) will bump into Adam and stick around to have a drink with him at the bar.

That’ll lead to a conversation about Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) and how Adam’s keeping things strictly professional with her.

Adam will ask if Noah’s interested in Sally, but he’ll shut down that idea. Noah will also mention Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan), but Adam will make it clear a romantic reunion isn’t happening.

Adam will want to concentrate on work and raising Connor Newman (Judah Mackey), particularly since Chelsea scared him off relationships entirely.

Noah will admit he talked to Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case), who pushed him to acknowledge the changes in Adam and give his job offer the proper consideration.

When Noah decides to accept the additional freelance work, Adam will think that’s excellent news and will clink glasses with him to seal the deal.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Noah’s time at Newman Media could bring some surprises, so stay tuned.
