The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Monday, December 20 Update – Chance’s Disconnect From Dominic – Adam & Jack Spar

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Monday, December 20, teases that Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) will experience a Dominic Newman-Abbott-Chancellor disconnect while Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) spar over the Newmans’ revenge on Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson).

At the coffeehouse on Monday’s Y&R episode, Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) and Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) will discuss some of their odd habits, hang-ups and hobbies.

They’ll joke around to make sure they’re ready to get the full picture of each other before Elena agrees to move in with Nate.

At Society, Chance will be rather withdrawn during a conversation with Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway), Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) and Devon Hamilton (Bryton James).

The others will have plenty of baby tips and tricks, but Chance won’t know Dominic well enough to weigh in.

Once Chance heads home with Abby, he’ll admit that was the reason he was quiet at the restaurant. Abby will offer reassurance about Chance bonding with Dominic and making all kinds of memories soon.

At Newman Media, Adam will tell Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) that he thinks he knows the identity of their spy, though he’ll note that person wouldn’t flat-out admit it.

Adam will basically push Victor to just trust him and will insist they have to capitalize on this chance to further discredit Billy.

Afterward, Victor will stop by the Chancellor mansion, where he’ll have a private conversation with Chance. He’ll mention how hard it was on Abby when she thought Chance was dead and acknowledge the danger that comes with being a cop.

Victor will talk about how unfair it’d be if Abby and Chance’s other loved ones had to go through losing him again.

At Billy and Lily Winters’ (Christel Khalil) place, they’ll welcome Jack and sit him down for a shocker. Jack will hit the roof when he realizes Billy plans to pretend he’s going off the rails and destroy the Newmans.

Billy will want Adam and Victor to publish a story about his downfall so that he can turn around and sue them for it.

Jack will feel like Billy has other options like working at Jabot or Chancellor Industries. He’ll worry about the toll this will take on the people out of the loop and will imply that it could backfire spectacularly.

Jack won’t like the idea of Billy associating with the people and places from his old gambling days. From where Jack’s standing, this will just be more of Billy’s endless obsession with going after Adam and Victor.

Billy will defend his desire to rebuild his reputation and will warn that he’ll never trust Jack with anything again if his brother doesn’t keep this plot a secret.

After Jack leaves in a huff, Billy will give Lily a chance to back out of their plan. He’ll make it clear that their relationship matters more than his reputation or this chance at revenge.

Lily will admit she’d prefer if Billy dropped it, but she’ll know it’s something he has to do and will support the endeavor.

Billy will be grateful to have Lily in his corner, so they’ll don some nice clothes for dinner and prepare to take things to the next level.

In the meantime, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will exchange presents that they bought before the breakup.

After Phyllis gets an engraved locket with Nick and Summer Newman-Abbott’s (Hunter King) photos inside, Nick will realize he got a cologne that’s formulated specifically for him.

Trading gifts will be bittersweet as Nick and Phyllis acknowledge how well they know each other. They’ll hope they can keep this connection alive despite their split.

Once Jack witnesses Nick and Phyllis getting along in the hotel lobby, he’ll be happy there’s less tension. Nick will seem a tad wistful as he watches Phyllis and Jack on his way out.

As for Jack, he’ll tell Phyllis he’s worried about Billy heading down a familiar path of mistakes.

Adam will overhear and butt in the conversation, so Jack will take this opportunity to rip into him. After Jack brings up the exposé that Billy did, he’ll accuse Adam of setting that trap for revenge.

Adam will end up bailing on the confrontation before Jack tells Phyllis this is about Adam and Billy’s never-ending war.

Back at Society, Amanda and Devon will congratulate Nate and Elena when they reveal they’ll be living together soon. As the four of them enjoy some Champagne, they’ll discuss Chance’s rocky transition now that he’s home.

Devon will later return to the penthouse with Amanda, who’ll encourage him to ask for some one-on-one time with Dominic.

Although Devon won’t make things more difficult for Chance, Amanda will sense that Devon wants more time with the baby and won’t think it’d hurt to ask for some.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Chance’s problems are about to get even worse, so stay tuned.
