The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Monday, November 22, reveals that Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will give up on an Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) romance while Sharon Rosales’ (Sharon Case) cheap shot enrages Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford).
At the Newman ranch, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will insist he changed his mind and will be going to Spain with Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson).
Ashley will argue that she’s got it covered with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and won’t want Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) to feel like her parents are ganging up on her.
After Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) backs Ashley up, Victor will agree to stay in Genoa City and work on this from his end.
Meanwhile, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will worry about how devastated Abby’s going to be when she accepts the truth about Chance Chancellor’s (Conner Floyd) death.
Nick will talk to Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) about the situation before Victor arrives.
There’ll be obvious tension between Nick and Victor, so Devon will quiz Victor about it after Nick leaves.
Victor will open up about the importance of protective fathers and will point out Dominic Newman-Abbott-Chancellor is going to need a strong father figure now. When Devon says he’d do anything for that little boy, Victor will be happy to hear it.
At home on Friday’s Y&R episode, Sharon will worry when she catches Noah Newman (Rory Gibson) zoning out on the sofa. Noah will downplay his problems and take off for a run to clear his head.
After Sharon texts Nick that they should talk about Noah, she’ll head to the coffeehouse. Sharon will bring Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) her drink order and ask how Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) is doing.
Tessa will admit Mariah has struggled a bit with Devon taking care of Dominic. She’ll also discuss how she asked Noah to work on her new album’s cover art, so Sharon will think it’ll be good for Noah to have a project.
When Noah returns home from his run, Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster) will convince him to use her as a sounding board.
Noah will explain that he fell hard for a girl in London, but things were competitive since she was also an artist. When Noah got successful faster, it led to some resentment and fights.
Noah will feel like he needs to escape the London memories and won’t want to repeat the same mistakes. After Faith assures Noah that he won’t, she’ll suggest going to Crimson Lights for some comforting caffeine and carbs.
On the coffeehouse patio, Jack will fill Phyllis in on the Abby situation and how he’s going to fly to Spain with Ashley. Sharon will interrupt a close moment to bring Jack coffee and food for his trip.
After Jack leaves, Sharon will pester Phyllis with questions about what’s going on between Jack and Phyllis – especially just a few short days after her breakup with Nick. Phyllis won’t like what Sharon is implying and won’t think it’s any of her business.
Furthermore, Phyllis won’t think Sharon has a right to talk when she’s been a friend to Nick in the same way.
Sharon will think Phyllis is having an awfully big reaction here. She’ll suggest she’d hate to find out Nick got hurt because Phyllis decided to rekindle an old relationship.
Phyllis will call that a “cheap shot” and will feel like it’s best if everyone moves on with their lives. Nick will show up in time to witness the drama, so he’ll question why Phyllis is so upset. Phyllis will argue that it’s not anyone’s place to pass judgment before she stomps off, but Sharon will think she’s protesting too much!
Next, Sharon will convey her Noah concerns to Nick. She’ll get that Noah is a grown man, but it’s a mother’s instinct to worry.
Nick will feel like Noah’s going to be fine, especially after he sees Noah smiling with Faith and Tessa.
After Nick and Sharon call Faith over, she’ll admit Noah confided in her about his breakup. Faith will reassure her parents that Noah’s all right, so they’ll marvel over their daughter growing up enough to be her big brother’s confidant.
Meanwhile, Noah will appreciate how he doesn’t have to try too hard to be OK around Tessa. She’ll agree it’s good to surround yourself with friends to cheer you up.
At Tessa’s request, Noah will make a funny video of her to send Mariah that gets them both laughing.
At Newman Media, Sally will be on board with Adam’s plan to capitalize on her being a hot commodity now. Adam will think they should make Sally an on-camera personality and will invite her to submit a budget proposal.
Sally will confess that she’s given up on seeing Adam outside the office. She’ll act like she’s all about her career now and no longer holding out hope for a romance.
Sally will assure Adam that she’s glad they’re colleagues and friends since she can focus on her impending success.
Adam will look pensive after Sally leaves, but he’ll turn his attention to Victor’s arrival soon after.
Victor will mention Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) offer to step away from ChancComm if they leave Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and the company alone.
Adam won’t think Victor is seriously considering that proposal – though Victor will admit he likes the idea of Billy publicly resigning.
After Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) overhears part of the conversation and joins them, he’ll be willing to go along with whatever Victor and Adam decide.
Victor will settle on making Billy think they’ve accepted his offer. That way Billy will resign and then when Lily gives up or Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) sells the company, they can buy it at a deep discount.
Victor will just want to let Billy dangle over the fire a bit longer first.
On the plane to Spain, Ashley will thank Jack for coming along with her. She’ll also call Victor, who’ll be hopeful that Ashley can find Abby and bring her home.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Ashley and Jack’s trip will take a surprising turn, so stay tuned.
