The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Monday, November 29, teases that Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) will share his survival story and make a revenge vow after he reunites with Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway), who’ll reveal their new son.

At Kim Dunaway’s (Roxanne Hart) place on Monday’s Y&R episode, she’ll tell Abby how Chance showed up a few days after the explosion with a torn-up leg and concussion. Kim and her husband used to be medics, so they patched Chance up and put themselves at risk in the process.

What Kim will really want Abby to know is that Chance took the deaths of his colleagues very hard. Kim will point out that Chance has a lot of rage and guilt, so she’ll want Abby to prepare to deal with that.

Abby will understand, but she’ll wonder why Chance didn’t reach out to her or let Kim reach out for him. “Because she knew it would put you in terrible danger…at least I thought she knew,” Chance will say as he appears and hugs Abby. They’ll share a sweet moment as Abby insists she never gave up on being together again.

Chance will be so sorry he made Abby suffer and will hate that the mission went on so long. He’ll argue that Kim shouldn’t have brought Abby there since it’s too dangerous, but Abby won’t want Chance to blame Kim. Abby will tell Chance that she was going to find him no matter what before they kiss and embrace once more.

Chance will stand by the idea of it being too dangerous for Abby to be there, but Abby will promise she was careful not to let anyone track her – not even her father. Abby will want to take Chance home to meet his son and will show off a picture of Dominic Newman-Abbott-Chancellor on her phone.

“He’s perfect. That’s my boy!” Chance will declare as he looks at Dominic for the first time. Abby will mention that Dominic is staying with Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) and will want to know all about Chance’s traumatic ordeal.

Chance will share how he got to the safe house in Valencia at dusk and was walking in the front door when the explosion happened. It blew Chance back about 30 yards before he hit his head on the ground.

A beam from the ceiling also landed on Chance’s leg and injured him, but he fought through the pain and went inside the bombed building to see if he could rescue some of his men. Unfortunately, there was no one left to safe – and soon after, the guys who bombed the building showed up to make sure there were no survivors.

Chance will explain that he buried himself in concrete and played dead until the guys left. He then slipped out before the fire department arrived and hopped on a freighter that was headed to Majorca. Chance made it to Kim and Errol Dunaway’s house, where they patched him up before he called the director of his mission.

Chance and the director agreed it was best for everyone to believe he was dead – both for his safety and the sake of the mission. It’ll break Abby’s heart to hear what Chance has been through, but she’ll be determined to take him home and help him through this.

However, Chance will insist he can’t go home just yet. He’ll share that he recognized one of the men at the explosion site – someone who can lead him to the man on top. Chance will note that the whole point of this mission is to find a criminal who fled the U.S. to set up shop overseas.

After Chance vows to go get him, Abby will suggest another agent could handle it. Chance will insist he has to see this through since he’s never failed a mission and doesn’t intend to start now. He’ll promise to bring down the people who killed his men, who deserve no less. Abby will stand there looking distraught and worried over Chance’s determination.

Back in Genoa City, Devon will talk to Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) about Thanksgiving and “tummy time” with Dominic. Nate will think it’s great to see Devon bonding with Dominic, but he’ll want to make sure Devon’s prepared for what’s ahead. Devon will know what Nate is getting at and will promise he understands that Abby will take over when she gets back.

Meanwhile, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) will return to the jet after searching all the major hotels and restaurants in Valencia. Despite finding no sign of Abby, Ashley will feel like maybe her daughter is in disguise and hiding out due to the danger.

Jack will take a call from Phyllis, who’ll get the latest Abby updates and thank him for the Thanksgiving gesture. As Phyllis wraps up the call, Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) will arrive and notice how she seems to be beaming. She’ll feel like Phyllis must’ve done some soul-searching about Jack, so Phyllis will admit Jack does make her happy.

Still, Phyllis will feel like it’s complicated and the timing isn’t great since she just got out of a relationship with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow). Amanda will feel like the timing is never going to be right and will think Phyllis knows what she wants, even if she doesn’t want to admit it. When Amanda asks what Phyllis is going to do, Phyllis won’t have any idea.

Back with Jack and Ashley, they’ll be on speakerphone with Victor as they seek new leads. Victor will suggest that maybe in Abby’s desperation to find Chance, she reached out to people he served with in Iraq. Victor will discuss how he’s having a list of names compiled and will pass it along when he can.

After Ashley and Jack disconnect, they’ll talk about Jack’s love life as a diversion. Phyllis won’t think Jack’s actions on Thanksgiving made him seem all that conflicted. She’ll suggest Jack is falling back in love with Phyllis, but Jack won’t think Phyllis is eager to jump in a new relationship so soon.

Ashley will wonder if they’re talking about the same Phyllis since the Phyllis she knows jumps from one relationship to the next – sometimes before the prior one is even over! Jack won’t love Ashley’s attitude, but he’ll appreciate her candor when she offers a warning about reunions not working out in her experience. She’ll just want to make sure Jack thinks through this thoroughly.

At Devon’s penthouse, Victor will show up and assure Devon they’re going to find Abby one way or another. After Victor gets in touch with Ashley and Jack again, he won’t have any real news to report.

Ashley will start to worry about how devastated Abby might be if she went to the explosion site. She’ll question how badly Abby will fall apart, but she won’t realize Abby has already reunited with a very much alive Chance!
