The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that a Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) reunion may be the biggest threat to Sharon Rosales’ (Sharon Case) marriage. Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) is probably worried about the wrong Newman brother since he’s always so focused on keeping Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) away.
Adam has genuinely made big changes in his life and wants to continue down a positive path. However, Rey still views Adam as obsessed and manipulative on some level. It’s tough to believe Rey could ever really look beyond Sharon and Adam’s complicated history.
Rey’s been burned too many times to trust that Adam has moved on and won’t try to interfere in Sharon’s life. Meanwhile, Rey is big buddies with Nick now and doesn’t mind his bond with Sharon at all.
There’s the potential for Rey to be lulled into a false sense of security since he doesn’t think Nick would ever do anything to jeopardize Sharon’s marriage. Of course, Nick has done plenty of cheating over the years, so it’s not a good idea to underestimate him!
Sharon and Nick had some nice bonding scenes not too long ago that served as a reminder of their warm, meaningful chemistry.
Since Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) seems poised to split from Nick and end up back with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), could a Sharon and Nick reunion be on the horizon?
Nick has become insufferable lately, so the character could use a bit of a reboot. Even though Nick’s criticism over Ashland Locke’s (Richard Burgi) secrets is valid, he’s still coming off like a villain in that story.
Nick is also being rather cruel to Phyllis and jumps on every little thing she says. It’s clear that Nick just isn’t living his best life right now!
If Y&R put Nick and Sharon back together, they could recapture that familiar “Shick” magic.
Nick always seems more at peace when he’s with Sharon – and many fans consider them to be each other’s true love.
Adam has more than enough love interests since Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) wants him and Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will return soon.
There’s no need for a new Adam and Sharon chapter, but there’d be great value in pursuing a new one for Sharon and Nick.
Y&R just went to the trouble of recasting Noah Newman (Rory Gibson), who’s set to move back to Genoa City.
Nick and Sharon may decide to set aside more family time as a result, so there’ll be opportunities for them to grow closer through their son.
Perhaps it’s time for a relationship shakeup since nothing’s really happening for Sharon and Rey.
Imagine Rey’s shock if Nick winds up being the one to steal Sharon’s heart instead of Adam! Rey might find that Sharon’s connection to Nick is far more powerful since it keeps coming back again and again.
