The Young and the Restless Spoilers Recap: Friday, March 5 - Chelsea Stands Up - Lily Insults Victoria - Summer & Sally Bicker

The Young and the Restless spoilers recap for Friday, March 5, tease that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Summer Newman (Hunter King) will talk in their Grand Phoenix suite.

Kyle will be worried that Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will blow his secret about his newfound son wide open, and he’ll want to keep the whole thing under wraps. Summer will suggest that Kyle open up to Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) about his problem.

Meanwhile, at the Abbott mansion, Sally and Jack will have just finished a wonderful dinner, and they’ll chat and get to know each other a bit better. Sally will remark that this feels more than casual, and she and Jack will affirm that they’re not putting labels on whatever “this” is right now.

Soon, Kyle will walk into the mansion, horrified to see Sally and Jack deep in a conversation.

Jack will wonder what Kyle’s doing there so late, and Kyle will say he needs to talk with Jack. Sally will gracefully exit, much to Jack’s dismay. Kyle will badger his dad about his relationship with Sally, and Jack will tell Kyle that it’s none of his business.

Ultimately, Kyle will say that he’s sorry that he came by, and he’ll leave without telling Jack anything about having a son or the surrounding issues.

Sally will head to the Grand Phoenix, where she’ll talk with Summer in the lobby. Sally and Summer will bicker in typical fashion, with Sally again asserting that she and Summer could make a great team or even be friends.

Summer will tell Sally in no uncertain terms that she and Kyle have friends and don’t need any more.

Next, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will visit Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) at Newman Enterprises, and he’ll break the news that he wants Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) to run the new media division he intends to acquire from Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi).

Victoria will once again refuse to sign off on the deal.

At Adam’s penthouse, Adam will explain to Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) about his new opportunity with Victor. Chelsea will internally think that this is just Adam’s way of staying near Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case).

After Adam takes off to meet with Victor, Chelsea will urge herself to move, and she’ll eventually pull herself up and out of her wheelchair to a standing position.

At Chancellor Communications, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will tell Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) that he wants to acquire Ashland’s media company. Lily will say that the price is out of their reach, so Billy will video call Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) to ask her for the money.

Jill will quickly realize through conversation that Billy wants money, and Billy will tell his mom that he’ll show her it’s a good deal.

Billy will head to his suite at the Grand Phoenix, where he’ll again video chat with Jill.

Billy will divulge that Victor is also interested in acquiring Ashland’s company, and Jill will wonder where Victoria fits into this, since she’s the CEO of Newman Enterprises. Billy will say that’s a good question.

Back at Chancellor Communications, Victoria will visit with Lily, and things will get awkward when Victoria tells Lily that she shouldn’t expect her good relationship with Billy to last due to Billy’s restless personality.

Lily will insult Victoria by insinuating that she’s drawn to Billy now that he’s turned his life around.

Later, Billy will return to the office to tell Lily that Jill gave him a hard no on giving them financial backing to buy Ashland’s company. Billy will say that he’d like to pitch the idea to someone else, and Lily will say that she’s all in.

At Crimson Lights, Adam will meet with Victor, saying that his only real concern with running the new media company for Victor is that he also needs to spend time with Chelsea. Victor will be confident that they can work this out, and Adam will be in.

Finally, back at Newman Enterprises, Victoria will call Ashland, saying that she’s going to handle the deal from here on out, and that she understands he has several offers on the table for his media company. Victoria will say that she’s prepared to beat them all.
