The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Summer Newman’s (Hunter King) worst fear could come true, but perhaps in a way she never expected. Y&R fans know this whole rivalry with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) mainly started with Theo Vanderway’s (Tyler Johnson) tip about Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor).
Theo pointed out that Kyle was Summer’s kryptonite, so that gave Sally an angle to work in her quest to run JCV. Summer became worried about Sally taking both her job and her man, so that led to scoring all that LA dirt.
Now Sally’s forced a truce through the secret of Kyle’s affair with Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner), but Summer will find out the rest of the story soon enough. If Kyle had come clean about his potential son with Tara right away, this is something “Skyle” could’ve tackled together.
Instead, Kyle’s been lying to Summer and has set up a difficult blow once the truth’s revealed. Summer will no longer trust Kyle when she realizes he kept something so huge under wraps.
Will Summer break up with Kyle over the deception? If so, Sally’s probably going to feel guilty over the fallout.
It was never Sally’s intention to hurt Kyle, so she’ll be apologetic if he indeed gets hurt. Kyle might lose Summer and even his job over the scandal tied to all this. If Kyle’s affair and secret child blow up the Internet, Kyle might be forced to step down as co-CEO of Jabot.
That’d make Sally feel even worse about the pain Kyle’s enduring, which can be traced back to her battle with Summer. Of course, Theo probably would’ve found a way to use this damaging info against Kyle no matter what. That’s something Kyle might admit in the end.
Kyle may not blame Sally all that much since Theo is relentless – and Kyle’s own choices have led him to this point anyway. Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) has encouraged Kyle not to think the worst of Sally, so maybe Kyle will take his dad’s advice.
Kyle may understand that Sally never meant for any of it to explode in his face.
Sally was just trying to protect her fresh start and escape her past – much like Kyle did when he tried to leave his New York days behind him. The Young and the Restless writers could be creating some good reasons for Kyle and Sally to bond.
Will Summer dump Kyle and push him right into Sally’s arms? Sally might mend Kyle’s broken heart after a “Skyle” split and still get her rival’s man – just as Summer initially feared.
It’d be a soapy way to take this story since Sally and Jack have been so flirty. The Young and the Restless spoilers hint that a first date may be in Jack and Sally’s future, so it’ll cause more drama if Sally eventually winds up with Jack’s son!
