The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) is growing closer to Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and eager to see where things lead between them. It’s easy to see why Sally’s opening her heart to Jack since he’s always full of praise about what a special woman she is.
Of course, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) thinks Sally has simply traded targets by moving on from Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and setting her sights on his father. That may be true on some level, but Sally really does seem to enjoy hanging out with Jack.
Even so, Phyllis is keeping her eye on Sally and remains concerned about how far ambition might take her. This is about more than just Jack since Phyllis’ priority will always be protecting Summer Newman (Hunter King).
Based on a new hint in Sally’s dialogue, perhaps Phyllis has a reason to be worried!
On the March 2 episode, Kyle pushes Sally for the truth about the nature of her relationship with Jack and doesn’t seem to understand all this time they’re spending together.
“Maybe he sees something in me that you just haven’t yet, but I’m confident that you will come around someday. At least I hope so anyway,” Sally says.
That seems like a huge hint about a Sally and Kyle romance happening down the road. Sally’s basically spelling it out that she’s hoping Kyle will see her like Jack does – and she feels confident that’s going to be the case at some point.
Naturally, this is troubling news for Jack since it could mean Sally will trade him in for the younger Abbott model the first chance she gets! Sally has talked about Kyle being a hottie before, so she’s clearly attracted to him.
Plus, Sally and Summer’s rivalry may be under control, but it hasn’t gone away. Once the truth about Sally’s history inevitably comes out, there’ll be nothing to stop her from going after Kyle. Summer won’t have any leverage to prevent it.
Sally may not even have Summer standing in her way if Summer and Kyle’s relationship ends up in jeopardy. That could certainly happen after Kyle’s own three-year-old son secret is revealed.
It’s easy to imagine Sally and Kyle coming together once their pasts come back to haunt them. Sally could pounce while Kyle’s romance with Summer is on the rocks and stun Summer in the process.
Bottom line, Sally may be using Jack as a stand-in until Kyle’s ready to warm up to her and see the good in her like Jack does. That could mean Jack and Summer will get a big surprise later on in this storyline! We’ll keep you posted as other Y&R updates come in.
