The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Ben “Stitch” Rayburn (Sean Carrigan) may pretend to help with the Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) search, but he may secretly be holding Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor’s (Melissa Ordway) surrogate hostage.
Once Stitch resurfaced on Y&R, it quickly became evident he just wasn’t himself anymore. Stitch repeatedly lurked around the Chancellor mansion like a creepy stalker.
Mariah was suspicious of Stitch’s lingering interest in Abby from the get-go – and she also seemed taken aback to learn Stitch didn’t have much of a life in Iowa.
Stitch admitted there wasn’t much to tell since he mostly just works and visits Max Rayburn (Jared Breeze). His son’s declining mental state has taken a toll on Stitch and has perhaps driven him to his breaking point.
Stitch never got over losing Abby or their unborn child, so that may be behind Stitch’s apparent obsession with Mariah and the baby she’s carrying.
Stitch is a doctor, so he may think he’s helping on some level. He’ll at least feel confident in his abilities and may assure Mariah she’s in no danger if he indeed has her stashed.
However, Stitch will head back to the Chancellor mansion to help Abby and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) during the week of July 12-16.
This suggests a deeper level of deception and could reveal just how crazy Stitch is if he’s the kidnapping culprit.
It sounds like Stitch may fill Abby in on his encounter with Mariah in the park and pretend he’s being helpful about the last time he saw her.
In reality, the last time Stitch saw Mariah may have been more recently. Stitch may have to pile on the lies to make himself look innocent.
Does Stitch have Mariah locked away somewhere? Will Stitch act like he’s being sweet and making himself useful – all while deceiving Abby and Tessa about his true agenda?
Stitch’s behavior has been bizarre so far, so it’s wise to keep a close eye on him and expect the unexpected!
