The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Thursday, January 14, tease that Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) will be down in the dumps after her recent negative pregnancy tests. Y&R fans know Abby’s starting to get a bad feeling at this point.
Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz) has assured Abby that it’s perfectly normal to have a little trouble conceiving at first, but Abby wants them both to get things checked out to be sure – especially after that troubling dream Abby had.
Abby could easily get another reminder of what she’s missing out on after she crosses paths with Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks).
Since Abby hasn’t been shy about wanting a family, Tessa and Mariah could easily bring up the topic. Whatever the case, Abby will chat with Mariah and Tessa at Society – though it seems she’ll put on a brave face and keep the conversation fairly lighthearted.
It’ll be Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) who Abby really opens up to, so Victoria will be happy to listen and share some advice with her sister. Abby may confide that she’s going to pay her gynecologist a visit and follow-up on this bad feeling of hers.
Victoria may side with Chance and argue that Abby’s overreacting, but she’ll certainly lend a sympathetic ear and understand Abby’s frustration.
Victoria might even mention that she adopted Johnny Abbott (Holden and Ryan Hare) as a way to ease Abby’s mind. There are all sorts of ways to start a family, so Victoria probably won’t want Abby to fret – even if her upcoming gynecologist appointment doesn’t go how she wants.
Even so, Abby seems to have her heart set on conceiving and giving birth to Chance’s child herself. It’s going to be a crushing blow if Abby ultimately realizes she can’t do that.
In the meantime, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will feel like he needs someone to talk to. Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) will realize Adam could use a friend, so she’ll console him in Thursday’s Y&R episode.
Sharon will let Adam discuss his guilt over Chelsea Lawson’s (Melissa Claire Egan) ordeal and how hard it’s been to see her struggling.
Although Adam will appreciate Sharon’s comfort, Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) will have some issues with these exes getting too close for comfort – especially as Adam continues to lean on Sharon in the weeks ahead.
As for Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan), Y&R viewers may see some updates since she gets served with legal papers on Wednesday’s show. Imani Benedict (Leigh-Ann Rose) may have pressured Naya Benedict (Ptosha Storey) into filing a restraining order.
On Thursday, Amanda may have a chance to react and once again use Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) as her rock. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Devon will also catch Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) off guard in Thursday’s episode.
Now that Devon and Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) have taken another step toward peace, Devon may think he needs to take another step toward peace with Nate, too.
