The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Thursday, May 20, tease that Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will make a plea for forgiveness while Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) gives Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) a new challenge.
Although Victor may be ruthless at times, he certainly has a soft spot for his family. Y&R fans will see Victor express surprise over Nick’s perspective on Thursday. Nick will voice his opinion of Adam and perhaps show he’s more willing to give his brother another chance.
Whatever the case, Victor will hope to bring Nick and Adam together through a fun activity. It’s been quite some time since Adam and Nick sat down to do any real bonding. Victor will plan to change that, so he’ll push the brothers to hang out on Thursday’s episode.
It’ll lead to Nick and Adam watching some sports on TV, so that’ll bring a pleasant conversation and the continued thaw of any lingering tension. Victor should approve of the progress and hope this is the start of a more united Newman family.
Of course, it could be a lot harder to get Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) on board with that idea! Victoria will be busy plotting as usual, so Victor and Adam should probably watch their backs.
The end of Wednesday’s episode sets up a conversation between Victoria and Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi), so it seems they’ll keep it up on Thursday.
Ashland will eventually fill Victoria in on some of his personal problems, so she’ll hear about his divorce from Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) and presumably the Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) affair that caused it.
While Victoria grows closer to Ashland with ulterior motives, Chelsea will hope for forgiveness. It’s possible Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) will hear a desperate plea during a visit to see Chelsea at her new psychiatric facility.
Chelsea might push Chloe to keep her mouth shut and just let this new plan with Victor ride without any problems. Chloe remains a loose end that could trip Chelsea up, so Chelsea would be wise to do some groveling!
However, Chloe will confess the whole ugly story to Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) within the next episode or two – and Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) will come looking to grill Chloe again as well. The stakes will be raised for Chloe, so she’ll have to decide her next move.
