The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Thursday, May 27 Recap – Summer Lured Out of Town with Job Offer – Sally & Ashland's Deal

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Thursday, May 27, teases that Summer Newman (Hunter King) will have a fashion house job offer out of town waiting for her thanks to Sally Spectra’s (Courtney Hope) deal with Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi).

At Society, Sally will tell Ashland that she wants to discuss something of a personal nature. She’ll wonder what Ashland would say if she told him she could help find Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) and Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez).

Ashland will wonder what Sally would want in return, so she’ll talk about having a pebble in her shoe that she needs to kick down the street.

Sally will want Ashland to offer someone a career move so amazing and tempting that they’d be an idiot to pass it up. Ashland will admit if Sally were to provide him with Tara and Harrison’s whereabouts, he might be tempted to reciprocate the way Sally wants.

At the Abbott mansion on Thursday’s Y&R episode, Summer will tell Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) that she wants to put their wedding plans on hold. Kyle will beg for a chance to change Summer’s mind, so she’ll hear him out.

However, Summer just won’t think it’s a good idea to move forward when everything’s so up in the air.

Kyle will wonder if this is really about waiting until things are less complicated. He’ll worry Summer might be having second thoughts about marrying him, but Summer will promise she has every intention of heading down the aisle with Kyle.

Summer will want to give their wedding her undivided attention when the time comes.

Afterward, Jack will offer updates on Ashland’s warning about Tara. Kyle will brush that off as mind games and defend Tara since she’s been nothing but transparent with him. Jack will think it’s wise to consider Tara’s history and won’t want Kyle getting hit with any secrets as this whole thing unfolds.

Jack will suggest going straight to the source, so he’ll quiz Tara along with Kyle. When Jack asks if Ashland has dirt on Tara, she’ll wonder why he would ask that.

Tara will feel like Ashland’s just trying to drag her name through the mud and will promise she’s got nothing to hide. She’ll assure Jack and Kyle that her son’s too important, so she wouldn’t hold back.

Once Tara’s out of the room, Sally will stop by for a visit. She’ll make up some work excuse, which Jack will point out is “hardly an emergency.” Sally will sit down hoping she can talk to Jack in private, but he’ll argue that they have nothing to discuss that’s of a personal nature.

After Sally spots Harrison’s stuffed fox nearby, she’ll tell Jack that’s “understood” and leave as quickly as she came.

Kyle will fill Tara in on Sally popping in, but he’ll insist he got rid of her. After Tara gushes about Harrison having a great time in the treehouse, Kyle will be happy the kid’s adjusting so well.

Tara will mention that she’s going to grab some lemonade and take Harrison out to play in the backyard, so Kyle will seem pleased over her offer to join them.

Once Harrison is worn out from playing, he’ll go down for a nap. Tara will be grateful that everyone’s making Harrison feel so welcome in the Abbott home. Kyle will promise to do everything he can for Tara and Harrison – no matter what Ashland does next.

At Devon Hamilton’s (Bryton James) penthouse, he’ll talk to Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) about Neil Winters’ (Kristoff St. John) upcoming memorial tribute.

They’ll also discuss Lily moving in with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), so Lily will invite Devon to share his opinion – though she’ll warn she won’t be talked out of this.

Devon will insist that Lily doesn’t need his blessing, but he’ll give it if she wants it. He’ll note that he was never against Billy and Lily’s relationship. Devon was just concerned about how Billy would treat Lily, but he’ll see that they’re serious now and are in it for the long haul.

At Crimson Lights, Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) will realize Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) is troubled over something related to Summer. “It’s a Kyle thing.

It’s always a Kyle thing,” Nick will admit. He’ll feel like there’s just so much baggage that keeps popping up. Sharon will offer a pep talk and will feel confident that Summer’s going to be fine with Nick’s guidance.

After Summer shares a sweet sister moment with Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster) on the patio, she’ll join Nick and admit she’s decided to postpone the wedding.

Moses Winters (Jacob Aaron Gaines) will talk to Nick and Sharon about Neil’s memorial tribute before he joins Faith nearby. Sharon and Nick will agree that Neil would be glad their kids are friends.

Back at Society, Ashland will spot Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) when she arrives to grab some takeout. He’ll invite Victoria to join him inside, so they’ll have some flirty business banter before things turn personal.

When Victoria asks what Ashland would consider one of his greatest achievements, Ashland will insist it’s being a good father to his son. He’ll note that despite his busy schedule, he always carves out time for Harrison.

Victoria will light up a bit at that comment and will insist she completely understands. She’ll seem charmed by Ashland’s story about Harrison’s favorite book before Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) appears and spots the conversation.

Ashland will realize they have an audience and will assume Billy wants to speak with Victoria alone. After checking his phone, Ashland will insist Billy’s going to get his wish.

Although Ashland will have to take off, he’ll hope he can pick this conversation back up with Victoria later.

Once Ashland exits, Billy will grill Victoria and suggest she’s being evasive about her connection to Ashland. Victoria won’t think this is any of Billy’s business, but he won’t want her getting dragged into Ashland’s mess and dragging their kids into it as a result.

Victoria will warn that Billy had better not be implying anything about her parenting skills, so he’ll back off a bit before she leaves.

After Billy mentions Victoria and Ashland’s link to Jack, Billy will insist he doesn’t want Victoria getting caught in some high-profile media drama. Jack will think Billy should just leave all this alone, but Billy will argue that he’s gotta do what he’s gotta do!

Billy will show up at the new condo later than he planned, but he’ll think the place looks great. Lily will sense that something or someone has gotten under Billy’s skin, so she’ll push him to tell her what’s up.

Billy will explain his latest Ashland concerns, so Lily will point out that Ashland’s divorce is a legitimate story that they have every right to cover.

As for Victoria, Lily will agree that it’s none of Billy’s business unless Victoria is in a serious relationship. Billy will admit he hasn’t had a chance to tell Victoria they’re moving in together yet, but he’ll expect it to be a very civilized conversation.

Lily won’t doubt that, but she’ll be more interested in knowing how Victoria’s really going to feel about it!

In the park, Sally will let Ashland know she saw a toy that she guesses belongs to Harrison: a stuffed fox made out of corduroy. Ashland will admit that’s his son’s favorite and will want to know where Harrison is.

Sally will want details on how Ashland intends to keep his end of the bargain first, but Ashland will want to know who it is that Sally’s so anxious to lure away from Genoa City.

Sally will confess that it’s Summer Newman, Kyle’s fiancée. She’ll argue that Summer is successfully running JCV and has what she wants, so she needs Summer gone.

Ashland will sense that Sally’s goal comes with a vindictive motive as well and will be just fine with that. He’ll think pulling Summer away from Kyle would be painful for the guy, so he’ll be on board.

Sally will realize their goals align as Ashland describes the offer he can make Summer. He’ll promise a prominent role in an illustrious fashion house with a lucrative salary, lots of perks and loads of status.

Ashland will insist it’ll be worth leaving town for and will assure Sally that he can make it happen with a phone call. All Sally will have to do is tell Ashland where his son is.

At the Abbott mansion again, Summer will show up looking for Kyle and will find Tara instead.

Tara will stop Summer from leaving so they can finally talk. She’ll note that she doesn’t take Summer’s support for granted since this has to be tough for her. Summer will get that Tara is in a tough position, too.

Tara will just hope everything works out like she wants, but Summer will have a question for her. “If and when you win custody and the divorce proceedings are over, will you go back to New York?” Summer will ask.

Tara will shut down that idea in favor of a fresh start – maybe even there in Genoa City so Harrison could be close to Kyle. The news will leave Summer looking unnerved.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Summer and Kyle have plenty of problems ahead, so stay tuned to Y&R. CDL will have all the hot Young and the Restless spoilers, updates and news you need, so stop by frequently.
