The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Thursday, May 6 Recap – Jack’s Plus One Warning - Amanda Rejects Sutton’s Plea Deal

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Thursday, May 6, reveals that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will find Summer Newman (Hunter King) looking glum as she admires her engagement ring at Society.

Summer will also have some wedding magazines, so Jack will assume it’s Faith Newman’s (Reylynn Caster) situation that’s putting a damper on Summer’s impending marriage joy.

Summer will confirm that’s true, but Jack will offer a pep talk and will be encouraged by the news that Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) may be tracking down a donor. Jack will suggest that Faith has a guardian angel out there.

Although Summer won’t have an exact wedding date yet, she’ll admit she’d like to be a fall bride. Summer will fish to find out about Jack’s plus one, but Jack won’t know since he’s not seeing Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) anymore and the wedding is still months away.

Although Summer will know it’s none of her business, she’ll beg Jack not to let Sally get under his skin again. Summer will remain convinced that Sally is trouble, so Jack will promise to take that under advisement.

Meanwhile, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will congratulate Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) on her successful business trip. Kyle will offer updates on all the Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) drama, but he’ll insist Ashland’s heart attack brought a change of heart.

Mariah will get confirmation that Ashland still has no idea Harrison Locke is actually Kyle’s son.

Kyle will intend to keep it that way, but Mariah will sense that he’s having a hard time letting go. Although Kyle will admit that’s true, he won’t want to disrupt Harrison’s life and will think moving forward is his best option.

Mariah will learn Kyle and Summer’s engagement is back on, so she’ll offer her blessing. After Kyle thanks Mariah for being such a good friend, he’ll suggest a promotion from good to best.

Kyle will want Mariah to stand up for him at his wedding, so Mariah will gladly accept the offer to be his best person.

Later, Jack will surprise Kyle and Summer by revealing that he wants to throw them an engagement party. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Summer and Kyle will be touched over Jack’s sweet gesture.

At the ranch, Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) will check in with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) briefly before joining Faith at the hospital.

Faith will be relieved to know Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) agreed to come home and give her a kidney, but she’ll be unsure about how this is going to work considering Adam’s a fugitive.

Sharon will push Faith not to worry since they’re going to figure it out.

As for Victor, he’ll push Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) to call him back with a progress report on Adam’s case.

Victor will also want Michael to explain the Sutton Ames (Jack Landron) case to him and will wonder why his name’s being dragged into the matter when he had nothing to do with it.

Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will overhear, so she’ll wonder if that’s something she should be concerned about. Victor will admit he’s got a feeling that Amanda Sinclair (Karla Mosley) intends to shift blame to someone at Newman – namely him.

“She’s going to say that you conspired to commit murder?” an appalled Nikki will ask on Thursday’s Y&R episode. Victor will insist the idea is absurd and will intend to find out how Amanda got involved.

At Devon Hamilton’s (Bryton James) penthouse, Amanda will discuss how she’s got her first meeting with opposing counsel Michael Baldwin today. Devon will sense that Amanda’s very prepared and will do just fine.

While Amanda takes a call from Michael, Devon will answer the door to find Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic). Nate will sense that he’s interrupting, but Amanda will take off since her meeting got pushed up.

That’ll leave Nate to ask questions about Moses Winters (Jacob Aaron Gaines) and how he feels about Amanda’s visits to the penthouse.

Devon will seem offended and won’t think Moses really cares. Nate will bring up Moses and Faith’s connection next, so Devon will feel like Nate is questioning his judgment when it comes to his brother.

Nate will deny it and will suggest that this somehow ties back to Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) for him, though he’ll admit it’s not rational.

Since Nate can’t go back with Elena, it’s tough to see Devon and Amanda looking happier and stronger than before. After Nate admits to being jealous, Devon will assure Nate that there’s a woman out there for him.

They’ll also discuss the upcoming event to honor Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John) and how Neil would want them to continue to heal.

Afterward, Nate will join Sharon at the hospital and inform her that Faith still isn’t responding to steroids. Sharon will mention that Nick may have found a donor, but she won’t want to jinx it.

Sharon will thank Nate for being a good doctor who truly cares about Faith, so assure Sharon that he’s going to do everything he can for her daughter.

At the Grand Phoenix on Thursday’s Young and the Restless episode, Amanda will defend her decision to take a murder case. She’ll remind Michael of her successful defense of Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and point out that she originally wanted to become a criminal lawyer.

Michael will still find it strange that someone as powerful as Sutton would take a chance on someone like Amanda when his entire future is on the line. He’ll want to know how this case fell into Amanda’s lap, but she’ll insist that’s none of Michael’s business.

Amanda will want to discuss whatever deal Michael intends to offer instead. Since Sutton could be looking at life in prison if this goes to trial, Michael will suggest he should plead guilty to second-degree homicide.

Amanda will point out that Sutton would face the possibility of serving 20 years and will promptly reject that deal. She’ll argue that Michael wouldn’t be offering a plea bargain at all if he had a solid case.

Michael will disagree and warn Amanda that she can’t win this. He’ll lay out the facts as he sees them, but Amanda will allude to her different version of events – though she doesn’t try cases in hotel lobbies.

Amanda will insist Michael will have to wait to hear what she has to say and will vow to see him in court.

Suddenly, Victor will walk in and comment on how deeply invested Amanda seems. Amanda will assure Victor that she’s not trying to personally attack him. It’ll just be a matter of the facts as far as Amanda’s concerned.

After Amanda exits, Michael will warn Victor not to pursue any plans of action when it comes to Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan. He’ll think Victor would be better off focusing on Faith right now.

Victor will bring up how Michael once gave a life-saving donation that was viewed as a heroic act and helped him be redeemed. Michael will admit he got the second chance he needed to start over.

At Society, The Young and the Restless spoilers say Devon and Victor will cross paths. That’ll lead to Victor asking questions about Amanda and whether Sutton promised her a big payoff. Devon will suggest that if Victor wants answers, he’ll have to ask Amanda for them.

Devon will take some takeout to Amanda’s suite, where she’ll mention her run-in with Victor earlier. Devon will feel like his own run-in with Victor makes more sense now.

Amanda will wonder if Devon thinks Victor was fishing for dirt, so he’ll give her an “absolutely” on that. Amanda will be determined to keep her guard up since Victor will try to use any and every weakness she has to win.
