The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Thursday, September 9, tease that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will bust Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) harassing Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) while Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) makes a late-night confession to Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford).
At the Newman ranch, Victor will sit down with Sally and hope they can get a few things straight – mostly about Sally’s relationship with Adam.
If Victor had his way, Sally wouldn’t even be employed at Newman Media. Victor will likely make that clear, but he’ll really want to focus on Sally’s ulterior motives when it comes to cozying up to Adam.
Victor will be convinced that Sally has an agenda and wants to use Adam to salvage her lackluster career. He’ll deliver a warning to discourage Sally, who honestly seems quite attracted to Victor’s son.
Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) was already giving Sally plenty of help in the career department, so Sally’s pull to Adam seems more about the fact that he’s handsome and a kindred pariah spirit.
Adam also doesn’t judge Sally for her past, so there are some good reasons for her to be drawn to him.
As for Adam, he’ll barge in on this meeting he had no knowledge of and voice his displeasure.
Adam will sarcastically guess he didn’t get the memo and will quickly scold Victor for being so hard on their newest employee.
Later, Adam will plant a steamy kiss on Sally to let her know he gets to decide how his love life is run.
Unfortunately, Y&R fans will soon see more hurdles courtesy of Victor and his overbearing ways!
Victor certainly isn’t going to make it easy for Sally and Adam to build any kind of a real relationship, so expect more obstacles in the coming weeks.
In the meantime, Jack will get a pleasant surprise when Phyllis stops by for a late-night visit.
Phyllis will have a hunch that Jack could use some company, but this will present the perfect storm for a confession.
Jack will be feeling rather nostalgic with Phyllis there – and he’ll have a couple of alcoholic beverages in him by then, too!
After Jack admits he was hoping Sally would turn out to be like Phyllis, he’ll make an even bigger admission. Jack will confess to still loving Phyllis and will add that it won’t go away.
This will definitely create some awkwardness in Jack and Phyllis’ friendship, but perhaps it could also lead to a romantic reunion down the road.
