The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Tuesday, August 10 Recap – Ashland Blasts Kyle’s Custody – Sally’s New Secret from Chloe

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Tuesday, August 10, reveals that Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) will blast Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) custody idea while Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) keeps a new secret – this time from potential ally Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson). Here’s what Y&R has in store on Tuesday’s drama-filled episode.

At The Grand Phoenix, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will struggle to understand why Summer Newman (Hunter King) is staying in Milan, but Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will offer a pep talk.

Phyllis will feel for Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) now that Kyle’s leaving – and possibly taking Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez), too.

Nick will be glad that Phyllis exposed Sally, but he’ll also think Jack is a big boy.

“You don’t have to appoint yourself champion in every circumstance,” Nick will insist. Phyllis will argue that’s not what she’s doing and will tear up as she adds that she just feels bad for Jack.

At the Abbott mansion, Jack will push Harrison to go get his ball and mitt so they can play catch in the park. He’ll want to squeeze in every minute he possibly can with his grandson.

fter Jack tosses the ball around with Harrison, he’ll insist that Grandpa will always visit and love him – no matter where he is.

At the ranch, Ashland will talk about the big splashy wedding he’s going to have with Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle).

Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will wonder why this is happening now, but Ashland will contend that they’re making up for lost time – both for not meeting each other sooner and for the future they may not experience together.

However, Victoria will point out that Ashland has reconsidered treatment and will start soon. Victor will end up surprising both Ashland and Victoria by suggesting he’s been waiting a long time for his daughter to find a man worthy of her.

Later, Nick will drop by to see Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott). He’ll fill his mom in on Summer reuniting with Kyle and deciding to stay in Milan with him.

Nick will admit that since Kyle doesn’t really have any custodial rights, it all comes down to whatever he can negotiate with Ashland. Nikki will also hint at Victoria’s big news, but she’ll decide Victoria should be the one to share.

Once Victoria and Ashland return home, they’ll discuss how taken aback they were over Victor’s reaction to their engagement.

Victoria will warn that Victor can turn on a dime, but Ashland won’t think that’s going to happen. He’ll feel like Victor can see that he appreciates Victoria for the amazing woman she is.

Ashland will get a call from his oncologist there in town, so he’ll offer updates to Victoria.

Since Ashland’s first treatment is tomorrow morning, Victoria will ask if there’s any word on the potential side effects. Ashland will acknowledge that everyone’s different, but they’ll agree that they’re ready for anything.

At Newman Media, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will talk to Victor about Ashland selling his New York properties.

Adam will assume Ashland plans to run out the clock in Genoa City. However, Victor will reveal that Ashland has something to live for now and that he’s decided to seek treatment.

Adam will point out that Ashland might not have the stamina to oversee the merger as much as he’d hoped.

When Victor asks what Adam’s getting at, they’ll be interrupted before Adam can explain. Chloe will want Adam’s approval on the work she’s done so far, so he’ll take a look and indicate that he’s impressed.

Once Chloe’s gone, Victor will wonder what’s up with Adam’s new attitude toward Chloe. He’ll insist that Chloe’s dangerous and can’t be trusted, but Adam will argue that hiring her was a strategic move.

It’s all about laying the groundwork for Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) to live in GC so that Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) can also live there full-time.

Adam will assure Victor that Chloe won’t be a distraction. He’ll plan to focus on taking advantage of their competitors’ weaknesses, but Victor will remind Adam not to go after Newman-Locke.

Instead, Victor will push Adam to use this opportunity to repair his relationship with Victoria as Adam’s done with Nick.

At Crimson Lights, Sally will complain about Phyllis during a phone call with “Grams” aka Shirley Spectra (Patrika Darbo). She’ll rant about Phyllis being on a mission to make sure she doesn’t have a single friend in this entire town.

When Phyllis waltzes over to gloat about her rival getting fired, Sally will bark that she should “stay the hell away.”

On the patio, Chloe will join Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) and mention how unnerving it is for Adam to be so cooperative. Chloe will worry she’s already trapped in Adam’s web and doesn’t know it.

Kevin will think that Chloe is the bait to lure Chelsea back under Adam’s control. Although Chloe won’t like that idea, she’ll admit Chelsea won’t have a lot of options once she rejoins the workforce.

After Chloe notices Sally Spectra sitting in the main dining area, Phyllis will walk by with a warning. She’ll suggest she’s repaying Kevin for telling her not to get caught up in Gloria Fisher-Bardwell’s (Judith Chapman) blackmail scheme.

Phyllis will make it clear that Sally is trouble – and if they don’t believe her, they should ask Lauren Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman).

Once Phyllis is gone, Chloe will gush about Sally’s fashion experience and will act like Phyllis is all about drama.

Since Chloe will still want to chat with Sally, Kevin will push her to be careful. “Aren’t I always?” Chloe will ask – and Kevin will give her a firm no on that!

Next, Chloe will approach Sally’s table and admit that she’s a fan. Sally will point out that she saw Chloe talking to Phyllis and will assume they’re friends.

Sally will wonder if Chloe came over to give her a hard time, but Chloe will insist she just wanted to talk since they’re in the same industry.

After Chloe mentions her fashion background and brings up the new online platform for Newman Media, Sally will seem intrigued.

Sally will get Chloe’s name before they discuss Chelsea’s breakdown and Chloe’s belief that we all deserve second chances. Sally will insist she couldn’t agree more.

After Sally fishes to find out how Chloe knows Lauren, Chloe will praise Sally for getting that JCV promotion. Sally will stay tight-lipped about getting fired and will respond well to the idea Chloe pitches about helping each other out.

Chloe will think JCV could use some positive press and her online platform could use some content.

Back at the Abbott mansion, Ashland will talk to Harrison about coming to stay in his room at Victoria’s place sometimes and playing with his cousins. Harrison will like the sound of that before he rushes off to the kitchen for cookies fresh out of the oven.

That’ll leave Ashland to speak with Jack about starting treatment at Memorial tomorrow. He’ll think it’s best if Harrison continues to stay at the Abbott house until they see how he’s going to tolerate treatment.

Ashland will urge Jack to have Kyle get in touch when he gets back from Europe so they can work out a visitation schedule for Harrison.

Jack will admit that Kyle’s going to remain in Italy with Summer, but he’ll explain that they’d love for Harrison to come stay with them in Milan – that is if Ashland would allow it.

Ashland will wonder if Jack’s really asking him to send Harrison across the ocean to “a couple of kids” who have no experience in parenting.

Jack will think it’s important for Kyle and Harrison to keep bonding – especially since Ashland will be focusing all his time and energy on his treatment.

Ashland will argue that’s why he was going to allow Kyle visitation, but he’ll rant that apparently Kyle has other priorities.

Phyllis will come in as Ashland’s leaving and will pick up on the tension, but Jack will push her to let him handle it. He’ll wonder what’s brought Phyllis by, so she’ll admit she could use a friend.

At home, Victoria will get a visit from Victor, who’ll want his daughter to be able to speak freely now that Ashland isn’t present.

Victor will worry that maybe Victoria’s marrying Ashland out of pity, but she’ll insist that’s not the case. She’ll think if Ashland was satisfied with pity, he would’ve reconciled with Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner).

Victor will just be worried about Victoria getting her heart broken, but she’ll know what she’s getting herself into. Victoria will admit that she’s been in love before – but not like this.

After Victor shifts gears, he’ll offer to plan the wedding with Nikki. Victor will think Victoria has enough on her plate as it is and will want to help his daughter, so she’ll agree to let him.

As for Kevin, he’ll barge in Adam’s office to confront him about “being too nice” to Chloe. Kevin will rant about how he doesn’t buy this new-and-improved act. If Chloe gets caught in the crossfire, Kevin will assure Adam that there’ll be “hell to pay.”

For what it’s worth, Adam will admire how devoted Kevin is to his family. Kevin will fire back that Adam may have a lot of people fooled – maybe even himself. Even so, Kevin will feel like it’s just a matter of time until Adam’s true self comes back.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Adam could be tempted by trouble down the road, so stay tuned to Y&R!
