The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Tuesday, August 31, tease that Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will attack Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) while Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) takes the next wedding destruction step. Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) will also consider a new job offer, so let’s talk about all the surprises Tuesday’s Y&R episode will bring.
For starters, Victoria and Lily will have a showdown, so this may be about Billy’s attempt to dig up dirt and expose Ashland Locke’s (Richard Burgi) past.
Perhaps Victoria will pay Lily a visit and call out ChancComm, but Lily may insist Billy’s the one behind the trouble.
Of course, Lily runs the company alongside Billy, so Victoria might argue that Lily needs to rein in her man – both personally and professionally.
Deep down, Victoria may be concerned about what Billy will find, but she’ll continue to defend Ashland’s character and won’t let anyone stand in the way of her marriage.
Lily will face Victoria’s wrath, but it’s obviously Billy who needs to be on the receiving end instead. However, Billy has the right idea since that story about the older mystery woman is all kinds of shady.
What’s with the deception and lack of details? This wouldn’t be buried if it was so innocent, so Billy will keep searching for the whole truth. He’ll want to protect Victoria, but Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will fear Billy has ulterior motives.
Victor will always be wary of Billy breaking Victoria’s heart again, so he may warn him not to get any ideas about a reunion.
Finally, Elena will mull over an exciting opportunity – one that Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) recently set in motion.
Nate doesn’t have time to be the face of Ask MD Now since he got promoted at the hospital. He urged Lily to consider hiring Elena to take his place, but she doesn’t really have time for that either!
Elena has been working extra shifts to the point of total exhaustion, so something has to change if she wants this Ask MD Now gig.
We could see Elena focus solely on the spokesperson role, but it’d be weird for her to completely step away from the work she loves at the hospital.
Maybe the real goal is for Elena to decide she’s willing to let Nate provide preferential treatment after all.
If Nate passes some of those extra shifts along to others, Elena can take advantage of this new opportunity Lily’s about to offer.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Elena and Nate’s relationship will come with some complicated curveballs down the road, so stay tuned.
