The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Tuesday, January 4, tease that Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will plot a vengeful move while Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) warns Adam Newman (Mark Grossman). Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will also call out Victoria Newman-Locke (Amelia Heinle), so let’s talk about what’s coming up in Genoa City.
First on Tuesday’s Y&R episode, Chelsea will have a tense encounter with Sally at Crimson Lights.
Sally will take this opportunity to gloat about her late-night brainstorming session with Adam on New Year’s Eve. She’ll certainly want Chelsea to know that Adam rang in the new year with her.
However, Chelsea will already be in the loop after spying on the pair and their flying sparks.
Chelsea will know that was far from a business meeting, but she’ll be willing to hear Sally’s latest suggestions – only so she can shut them all down!
Chelsea will act like everything out of Sally’s mouth is a terrible idea, so Sally will grow frustrated. She’ll know this conflict is about Adam and not her top-notch work for the fashion platform.
Sally will defend her strategies and keep pitching more, but Chelsea just won’t be interested in anything her rival brings to the table.
The confrontation will escalate until Chloe walks in and plays referee. Chloe will do her best to settle Chelsea and Sally down, but she’ll know she can’t be there to babysit them all the time.
It’d be better for the fashion platform if Sally and Chelsea could actually get along.
Of course, the only way that’s going to happen is if Adam’s heart is no longer a factor.
It’s becoming crystal clear to Chloe that Chelsea and Sally aren’t going to back off, so she’ll corner Adam and urge him to back off instead.
Chloe will feel like Adam needs to distance himself from Sally and Chelsea, but he may wonder how he’s supposed to do that when they all work at Newman Media.
Adam will no doubt act like he’s keeping things professional all around, but Chloe will offer a stern warning.
Chloe may fear Chelsea will go down an obsessed, vindictive road again if Adam isn’t careful. It turns out Chelsea will indeed come up with some sort of trap for Sally.
Chelsea will scheme to get a little payback for New Year’s Eve and perhaps try to prevent Sally from getting any closer to Adam.
In the meantime, Chelsea will ultimately confront Adam about his true feelings for Sally. She’ll fret over the idea of Sally getting too close to Connor if Adam deepens this bond and opens that door.
Adam will stand his ground when it comes to keeping their paths separate, but Chelsea won’t be pleased.
As for Lily and Victoria, they’ll have a heated faceoff of their own.
Lily will object to Victoria acting like she calls all the shots now, but Victoria will feel like she’s truly in charge.
Since Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) plan hinges on Victoria’s silence, she’s definitely running the show!
Lily will disagree with Victoria’s latest tactics, but she’ll have to get over it – that is if she wants to help Billy salvage his plot.
Billy may have to play peacemaker since he’ll be caught in the middle of all the hostility, but he’ll keep his eye on the prize and hope he can take down Adam in the new year.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Lily will grow increasingly frustrated with Billy, so their relationship could be in jeopardy if things get worse.
