The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Tuesday, January 5, tease that Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) will make a difficult choice. It’ll be one that causes great pain, but it’ll also be something that Amanda feels like she has to do.
Y&R fans know Naya Benedict (Ptosha Storey) demanded answers on a phone call recently. Naya wanted to know who’s been calling her and whether it was the same person who showed up at her house on Christmas Eve.
Amanda couldn’t bring herself to say anything in that moment, but The Young and the Restless spoilers say she’ll decide to call back soon enough. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Amanda will tearfully come clean about who she is – the daughter that wasn’t given to Naya’s cousin, Rose Turner.
Amanda will admit she’d like to meet Naya, but how will her birth mom react?
Naya will obviously be taken aback and overwhelmed, so she’ll have to determine if she’s willing to honor Amanda’s request. Part of Naya may be tempted to just leave the past in the past.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) will console Amanda on Wednesday, January 6, so that could mean that Naya will turn Amanda down on Tuesday’s episode.
On the other hand, it’s possible Naya will accept the meeting and leave Amanda nervous about confronting her birth mother. Devon might offer comfort as Amanda worries about the meeting not going well.
Either way, this meeting is sure to happen eventually. It’s just a matter of whether it’ll happen now or after Naya’s had a chance to mull things over.
Other Young and the Restless spoilers say Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will come to Sally Spectra’s (Courtney Hope) rescue. Sally will find herself in need of a protective friend, so Jack will gladly step up.
Y&R viewers know Jack promised to have a little chat with Summer Newman (Hunter King) and help her see that Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) was to blame for spreading that earlier “rumor.”
Of course, Sally lied to Jack since she really is plotting to steal Summer’s job – and she intends to use Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) to do it! Nevertheless, Jack will believe Theo’s the real problem here, so he’ll hope he can make Summer understand that.
It’s possible Jack will overhear Summer trash-talking Sally when he approaches. That might prompt Jack to defend Sally and try to set the record straight – at least based on the story Sally gave him. Naturally, Summer won’t buy for one second that Sally is innocent.
As a result, Summer will decide it’s time to play dirty – and that means taking a trip to Los Angeles to dig around and get the goods on Sally. Summer will want to find out more about Sally’s twisted history, which means a crossover special on The Bold and the Beautiful seems to be in the works.
Until then, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will do whatever it takes to help his son. Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) gets some difficult updates on Chelsea Lawson’s (Melissa Claire Egan) condition in Monday’s show.
Adam finds out Chelsea suffered a stroke, lost mobility on her right side and is currently unable to speak.
On Tuesday, Victor will take charge and perhaps contact the best medical team money can buy. Maybe Victor will call every extremely qualified specialist under the sun to make sure Chelsea makes a full recovery.
Victor might hope there’s some sort of experimental treatment that could get Chelsea back to her old self and set things right in Adam’s world.
Regardless, there’s at least one thing Victor can handle immediately – and that’s getting around hospital protocol. Victor can work his magic and flex his power to make sure Adam sees Chelsea ASAP, so Adam will appreciate that despite their issues.
