The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Tuesday, May 18 Recap – Ashland’s Furious Kyle Visit – Imani Says Sutton Capable of Murder

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Tuesday, May 18, reveals that Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) will make a furious visit to Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) while Imani Benedict (Leigh-Ann Rose) admits Sutton Ames (Jack Landron) is capable of murder. Here’s the scoop on Tuesday’s Y&R episode and all the surprises ahead.

At home, Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) will get Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) to promise that they’ll never let things reach the same low point between them. When Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster) appears, she’ll be thrilled over the news that Rey has moved back in.

While Sharon’s in the kitchen making Faith something to eat, Faith will wonder if Rey’s relationship with Sharon is really back on track. Rey will confirm that it is – and he’ll add that it’s going to last this time.

As Sharon eavesdrops nearby, Rey will make it clear that he’s committed to doing whatever it takes to make sure they don’t go off track again.

Faith will also hope for a favor and will offer updates on Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) pushing Moses Winters (Jacob Aaron Gaines) away. She’ll know Nick and Sharon are being protective, but she’ll think a visit with Moses would cheer her up.

Rey will point out that he can’t make any promises, but he’ll be willing to talk to Sharon for Faith. A little later, Sharon will talk to Rey alone about what she overheard.

Sharon will be grateful for Rey’s commitment and will want him to know she’s just as determined to keep their marriage on the right path.

At Devon Hamilton’s (Bryton James) penthouse, he’ll sense that Moses’ mind isn’t on the game they’re watching on TV. Moses will admit to thinking about Faith and will mention how Nick wanted him to give Faith some space.

Devon will note that Faith’s been through a lot, so Nick and Sharon understandably don’t want her rushing into anything.

Faith will text Moses about feeling better and hoping they can see each other soon, so that’ll earn a smile from Moses. Over with Amanda Sinclair (Karla Mosley), she’ll meet with Imani at Crimson Lights.

Amanda will have a few more questions to ask before she can agree to let Imani join Sutton’s legal defense team.

After Amanda asks about Imani’s motives, Imani will make it clear that this is her decision alone. She’ll insist she doesn’t let her grandfather bully her into anything.

Amanda will also drop hints about the bribery in this case, so Imani will make her stance clear. She’ll argue that although Sutton might’ve cut a few corners, he wouldn’t have killed to keep his Newman arrangement under wraps.

Amanda will wonder if Sutton’s capable of murder, even if he isn’t guilty of it. Imani won’t see what it matters since her opinion won’t affect Amanda’s defense. However, Amanda will feel like she needs to know what all her family members think of one another to help navigate things.

After Imani decides that’s fair, she’ll admit that she indeed feels Sutton is capable of murder. Imani will argue that most people are capable of anything. It’s just a matter of what a person is pushed to. That comment will prove troubling to Amanda, but she’ll ultimately welcome Imani to the team.

Later, Amanda will bring Devon up to speed on her strange meeting with Imani. She just won’t be able to figure her half-sister out since Imani seems incredibly loyal to her family, yet she’s admitting Sutton is capable of murder.

Amanda will wonder if Imani was trying to send some sort of hidden message, so Devon will speculate that maybe Imani isn’t as loyal to her family as she seems.

None of this will scare Amanda off from working with Imani. Amanda will argue that she’s only more determined to get to the bottom of all this.

If there’s a missing puzzle piece, Amanda will intend to find it. She’ll add that if it helps the case, that’s great. If it jeopardizes the case, Amanda will do whatever it takes to bury anything damaging.

Next, Devon will convince Amanda to take a break from all the lawyer drama. Amanda will give Devon a seductive look before she heads upstairs – and he won’t be far behind.

In Kyle’s suite, he’ll reel as Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) insists Kyle must claim paternity. Tara will feel like it’s the only way to make sure Ashland can’t fight for custody of Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez) and win.

Kyle will gripe about Tara crashing his engagement party, but Tara will promise she never intended to get in the way of Kyle’s future with Summer. Tara will argue that she had no other choice. She’ll reiterate that Kyle is the only solution to the threat against their son.

Kyle will want to talk to Summer before he does anything, but Tara will point out that time isn’t on their side. She’ll push Kyle to call her as soon as he’s made a decision. Afterward, Summer will meet up with Kyle and find out Tara wants him to come forward as Harrison’s biological father.

Once Summer freaks, Kyle will acknowledge that it’s a step of faith. Summer will think it’s more like a leap off a cliff! She won’t seem sure about this at all, but they’ll ultimately table the discussion and head back for the rest of the engagement bash.

At Society, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will fret as he leaves a message for Summer. Nick will be busy grilling Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), who’ll admit Kyle and Tara had an affair back when things were over with Summer.

Nick will contend that maybe Summer and Kyle should be over now, too! He’ll suggest that perhaps he was right all along and that marrying Kyle could be a big mistake.

Nick will find out Jack’s in the loop on the affair, so he’ll corner him briefly. Jack will downplay everything, but Nick will remain uneasy. After Christian Newman’s (Alex Wilson) nanny gets in touch, Nick will have to take off.

That means Nick won’t be around when Summer and Kyle return just as the party’s about to break up.

Kyle will reassure Jack that everything’s under control, so Jack will agree to trust his son. As for Phyllis, she’ll corner Summer to confess that she told Nick about Tara and Kyle’s affair.

Phyllis will insist she has to ask about that little boy, but Summer will cut her mom off before she can ask any paternity questions. She’ll push Phyllis to back off and let Kyle handle this.

After Phyllis eventually finds Nick in The Grand Phoenix lobby, she’ll urge him not to confront Kyle. Nick will decide that can wait since Phyllis will imply some other steamy plans for them.

Back with Kyle, he’ll reconvene with Summer in his suite. Kyle will reveal that he’s come to a major decision and know what he needs to do about his son.

Before Kyle can reveal that decision, there’ll be a knock at the door. Kyle will open it to find an angry Ashland standing there. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Kyle and Ashland’s tension is about to explode, so stay tuned!
