The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Tuesday, September 28 Recap – Sally’s Sneaky Wedding Dress Swap – Adam Accepts Surprise Invite

The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Tuesday, September 28 Recap – Sally’s Sneaky Wedding Dress Swap – Adam Accepts Surprise InviteThe Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Tuesday, September 28, reveals that Sally Spectra (Courtney) will get sneaky as she hopes for a wedding dress swap – and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will accept a surprise invite. Here’s what Y&R fans can expect on Tuesday’s drama-filled episode.

At The Grand Phoenix, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will text Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) to ask if there are any updates on the real Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi). Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will startle Phyllis when he walks in after being summoned with a cryptic message.

Phyllis will bring up Jack’s recent conversation with Nick – the one where Jack shared that he still had feelings for Phyllis and told her so. Although Phyllis will be glad everything’s out in the open, she’ll also be a bit suspicious about Jack’s reason for coming clean.

Jack will admit to having a dream that nudged him in that direction before talk turns to the flight to Milan. If Nick doesn’t make it back from his trip in time, Jack will note that it’s just going to be the two of them on the jet. He’ll wonder if that would make Phyllis uncomfortable, but she’ll insist it’s fine and that she’d love to share a flight with Jack.

Once Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) shows up to speak with Phyllis, Jack will take that as his cue to leave. Victoria will then confront Phyllis since she heard Nick took the jet to New Jersey and will want to know why. She won’t buy Phyllis’ excuse about Nick having New Hope business and will wonder if this has something to do with Ashland.

At Crimson Lights, Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster) will feel overwhelmed since she fell behind on homework – so much so that Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) got a call from the school. Faith will assure Sharon over the phone that she won’t do anything else until she finishes all her assignments.

Moses Winters (Jacob Aaron Gaines) will be excited over their long-awaited first date when he comes in, but Faith will cancel and blame it on having to work at the last minute. Since Moses won’t buy that, Faith will eventually admit it’s because she got so behind on work in every class.

Moses will take the blame for keeping Faith busy with other things and will realize Sharon thinks he’s been a distraction. Faith will be sorry since Moses spent so much time planning their night together. She’ll admit she’s got most of the work done, but it still has to be typed up and she’s slow on a keyboard.

Moses will think he has a solution since he’s “wickedly fast” at typing and can transcribe what Faith has already finished. Faith will decide that’d be helping rather than cheating and will be on board with Moses’ plan. They’ll speed through all Faith’s work in a flash, so Faith will head home to change before Moses picks her up for their date in an hour.

Sally will also spend some time working on the wedding dress she has in mind for Victoria. As Sally sits in a booth at the coffeehouse, she’ll admire the design on her tablet and gush about how spectacular the gown’s going to be.

In his office, Adam will be taken aback when he gets an invitation to Victoria and Ashland’s wedding. Afterward, Adam will bump into Jack at Crimson Lights and get some congratulatory words about the work he’s doing at Newman Media.

Jack will also wonder if Adam’s going to be in Tuscany for the big day, but Adam will think the invitation he received must’ve been a mistake. Jack won’t be so sure and will think attending the wedding would be a good thing for Adam and Victoria’s relationship.

Back at The Grand Phoenix, Lauren Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) will interrupt Phyllis and Victoria’s tiff over Nick’s business in New Jersey. Lauren will bring Victoria’s bridal gown, which she pried out of her seamstresses’ hands and rushed over so Victoria could try it on.

After Lauren calls it the “dress of the season” and reveals that one of her favorite fashion designers really outdid herself, Phyllis will hand over the keycard to a room upstairs for the fitting.

When Phyllis catches Sally trying to follow Victoria and Lauren upstairs, she’ll wonder when Sally’s going to get that she’s not welcome at The Grand Phoenix ever. Sally will argue that she’s not going anywhere and will add that Phyllis had better get used to her being part of this town.

As Phyllis and Sally’s confrontation escalates, Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) will arrive and admit she asked Sally to meet her there because they have a pitch to make. Chloe will explain how they want to use The Grand Phoenix for their upcoming photoshoot, so Phyllis will insist she loves the idea.

“Fire her and I’ll do it,” Phyllis will declare about Sally. After Phyllis saunters off, Chloe will scold Sally for pushing her rival’s buttons. Sally will suggest there’s still hope of a win since Victoria’s apparently there for her wedding dress fitting. She’ll still think she can offer a one-of-a-kind gown as a gift and wow Victoria with it.

In a suite, Victoria won’t be thrilled with the dress she tries on. She’ll seem disappointed since it didn’t really live up to the sketches and the fit will be a bit off. Lauren will insist they have plenty of time to fix it and will feel like maybe this is about more than just the dress for Victoria.

In Victoria’s office, she’ll confirm to Adam that the wedding invite wasn’t a mistake. Victoria will admit that although she doesn’t really want Adam there personally, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) would love having the whole family together. Adam will decide it’d be rude not to accept the door Victoria’s opened for him and will accept the invitation.

At Newman Media, Sally will impress Chloe with the wedding dress she designed and will insist it’s for Victoria and Victoria alone. Since they have so much talent on their team, Chloe will think maybe they should think bigger than the fashion platform. She’ll suggest a Newman fashion line could be the next step to world domination!

“World domination, huh? What are you two plotting?” Adam will ask as he walks in. Chloe will talk about Sally being all set for her meeting with a renowned fashion magazine editor, so Adam will tell Sally to knock ‘em dead. After Sally fishes to find out if Adam’s going to Victoria’s wedding, he’ll confess he got an invite – though he doesn’t have a date and doesn’t need one.

Sally will think Adam’s full of himself since he assumed that’s why she was asking, but she’ll point out that he has her number if he’s looking for a friend or colleague to go with him. Once Adam’s alone, he’ll check off the RSVP card Victoria sent him to confirm his attendance.

As for Sally, she’ll make a call and ask how long it would take to make a wedding dress if money were no problem. Sally will be surprised by just how fast they can make it happen and will insist she’s sending the designs over right now.

At the Abbott mansion, Jack will make a call to confirm that he may be traveling along with Phyllis for the wedding. Meanwhile, Phyllis will get a text from Nick about not liking what he found in New Jersey, but he’ll want to explain later.

Victoria will also receive a text from Ashland, who’ll say he may have to cancel dinner – though he’ll insist what came up is nothing to worry about. Victoria will still seem uneasy as she gazes at the portrait in her office.

At Devon Hamilton’s (Bryton James) penthouse, he’ll surprise Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) since he cleared out his schedule and refused to miss her big move-in day. Once Amanda’s settled in, she’ll insist she wants to do one of her favorite things. Amanda will plop down on the sofa and delight Devon by telling him she wants to hang out with him.

Devon will fill Amanda in on babysitting Dominic Newman-Abbott-Chancellor at the park. He’ll acknowledge how much he enjoyed it, but he’ll know it’s important not to get too attached.

Amanda will also open up to Devon about her family as they enjoy feeling comfortable talking about anything and everything. Devon and Amanda will eventually decide to take the fun upstairs to their bedroom.
