The Young and the Restless Spoilers Update: Week of July 19 – Stitch Pulls Abby Closer – Tara Preys On Kyle - Faith’s Celeb Encounter

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for the week of July 19-23 teases that Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster) seems to have a celeb encounter in her future – and Ben “Stitch” Rayburn (Sean Carrigan) will pull Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) closer.

First, let’s talk about some special guests. Kendra and Krista Slaubaugh are sisters who combine to form the country music group Tigirlily – and it turns out there’s someone in Genoa City who’s a huge fan.

Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) has plenty of music connections through his record label, so it looks like he’ll pull some strings and set up a meeting.

Y&R spoilers say Moses Winters (Jacob Aaron Gaines) will arrange a big surprise for Faith. It sounds like Moses will find out Faith really digs Tigirlily and will get Devon to do him a favor.

There’s a good chance that Moses’ big surprise will involve Faith meeting Tigirlily, so that’s something to look forward to on Thursday, July 22.

In the meantime, Abby will face off with Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) as they continue to fret over Mariah Copeland’s (Camryn Grimes) whereabouts.

Ben “Stitch” Rayburn (Sean Carrigan) will help Abby relieve a little stress as they reminisce about days gone by.

It’s clear that Stitch still has feelings for Abby, but what about her feelings for Stitch?

Abby may be married to Chance Chancellor (last played by Donny Boaz), but he’s off on his mission – and Stitch is right here waiting to take Abby in his arms.

It’s easy to see how Stitch might manage to stir up some old love in Abby’s heart. Things are at least going to be complicated – and that trend may continue if Stitch is revealed as Mariah’s captor!

For now, Stitch will try to pull Abby closer through stories and thoughts on their past together.

As for Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), she’ll remain wary of Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) and won’t want Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) getting too close to her.

Phyllis fully intends to take Sally and Tara down, so she’ll know Jack’s just going to end up heartbroken again if he lets himself fall too hard.

Phyllis will come clean to someone eventually, so it’s possible she’ll drop her phony nice act and get real with Tara.

Perhaps Tara’s the kind of gal who’d respond better to more than a veiled threat.

Then again, Phyllis’ admission might involve putting the pieces in place for her takedown plan or even just another warning for Jack. Regardless, Phyllis won’t rest until she makes sure Sally and Tara are exposed.

Until then, Tara will decide she has to kick her pursuit of Kyle in high gear.

After Tara makes a play for sole custody of Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez), she’ll hope to speed the process of a united family along.

Tara will hope her plan to prey on Kyle works out, but Kyle may end up feeling like this is a rebound romance that’s moving too fast.

Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) will continue to bond with Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) as well, but Victoria’s about to discover something that fills her with dread – something she associates with an attack.

Ashland seems to be hiding a few things, so it raises questions about how legit his lung cancer really is. If Ashland has been faking or exaggerating to manipulate Victoria, their alliance could blow up in a big way.

Elsewhere, Imani Benedict (Leigh-Ann Rose) will get on Elena Dawson’s (Brytni Sarpy) bad side.

It looks like Imani might come around with her flirty comments again and try to make a blatant move on Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic).

Now that Elena has reunited with Nate, she’ll have no intention of letting Imani get in the way of their future together.

Of course, Imani might shift her strategy and try to draw sympathy over her missing mother.

Naya Benedict (Ptosha Storey) will indeed disappear in the coming episodes, so Imani might act like she needs Nate’s help or just someone to lean on.

Whatever the case, Elena won’t let Imani ruin the good thing she’s got going – not if she can help it anyway!
