The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Wednesday, July 14 Recap – Billy Spies Sally & Tara’s Secret Meeting – Ashland & Victoria Move In

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Wednesday, July 14, reveals that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will spy Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) and Tara Locke’s (Elizabeth Leiner) secret meeting – and Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) will decide to move in with Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle).

At the ranch on Wednesday’s Y&R episode, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will have some updates for Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).

Adam will reveal that Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso), Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) and Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) made it to Minneapolis safely last night.

Victor will find out that the gang settled in a hotel and will drive to the hospital this morning.

While Chelsea and Connor visit Anita Lawson (Catherine Bach), Rey will meet with a doctor to see how long Anita’s recovery will take. Adam will add that he plans to visit on weekends until Anita can be on her own.

Although Victor will acknowledge that the last few days have been difficult, he’ll concede that Adam handled things well with Chelsea and did right by his son. Adam will be glad to know Victor was able to get over his recent concerns.

When Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) appears, she’ll express concern over the livestream announcement that Ashland and Victoria intend to make.

Nikki will fret over Victor’s potential reaction and will warn him not to use this as an excuse to postpone their Italy trip.

Nikki will mention the idea of meeting up with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Noah Newman (Robert Adamson) in London during that trip as well.

Adam will note that it might be good to try and persuade Noah to take the Newman Media graphics job in person, so Victor will agree.

At Newman Enterprises, Victoria will be busy on the phone ahead of her big announcement with Ashland. Once Ashland arrives, they’ll talk about the energy being off the charts around the office.

Ashland will be eager to change the narrative with their news – and he’ll thank Victoria for being exactly what he needed at the exact moment he needed it.

At home, Billy will be in a foul mood, so Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will guess he’s on edge about the upcoming announcement.

Lily will suggest that maybe Ashland and Victoria are getting married, but Billy will point out that he was only joking about that before. He’ll insist that Locke isn’t Victoria’s type.

Next, Tara will talk to Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) about the video, which Tara will point out isn’t an accurate representation of what her whole marriage was like.

If it was, Tara would’ve left a lot sooner. Jack will let Tara know he’s not judging anyone in this situation.

When Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) enters, Tara will express her concerns over Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez) losing Ashland.

Kyle will be willing to do anything he can to make things easier for Tara, so she’ll gush about what incredible role models Harrison will have in Kyle and Jack.

Back in Victoria’s office, she’ll get the camera and microphone set up for the livestream. Once it’s time for the announcement, we’ll see people watching all over Genoa City.

Ashland will have plenty of praise for Victoria and the powerhouse company she runs. He’ll talk about bonding over their similar business philosophies and making this deal happen.

Victoria will take her turn to praise Ashland before announcing that Newman Enterprises and Locke Communications Group will be merging into one company.

Victoria will tout all the benefits and argue that they’re going to be the envy of their competitors with this move.

Lily will be impressed over Victoria going after Ashland’s entire empire and winning.

Billy will point out that this means Victoria isn’t just a player now; she’s a Titan.

At the ranch, Victor will seethe over Nikki obviously knowing about this as COO. He’ll bicker with his wife, who’ll push Victor to understand why she stayed quiet.

Nikki will want Victor to understand Victoria’s perspective, but Adam will point out that the announcement isn’t over.

Once Victor and Nikki settle down, they’ll focus on the continued livestream.

Ashland will make a personal statement about the viral video that depicted him in a state of ill health and ill temper.

Ashland will find it hard to convey the contempt and disgust he feels over anyone who’d exploit a man’s private suffering for personal gain.

“Wait, he can’t be talking about the video that I filmed?” Sally will exclaim to herself on the Crimson Lights patio. She’ll wonder how that video possibly could’ve ended up online.

As for Ashland, he’ll publicly confirm that he’s been diagnosed with a serious illness.

Ashland will want the details kept under wraps and will ask everyone to respect his desire for privacy. He’ll talk about stepping back to an advisory capacity and making Victoria the COO of the new company.

Back at Lily and Billy’s place, Lily will think Ashland’s health confirmation is so sad. She’ll admit she would’ve preferred a marriage proposal!

Lily will think Victoria was smart to build personal trust with Ashland first.

Lily will hope Billy’s not too disappointed about missing out on the merger and will hint that maybe he just likes the thrill of going up against the Newmans.

As for Jack, he’ll be outraged over the indignity of Ashland’s privacy being disrespected through that video leak. Tara will sit nearby in the Abbott living room looking awfully guilty!

Jack will eventually head to the coffeehouse, where he’ll join Sally and wonder if she saw who filmed the video.

Sally will insist the first she heard about the video being posted was in Ashland’s statement. She’ll argue that it was “very disgusting,” so Jack will note that he couldn’t agree more.

Nikki will try to get Victor to see this merger as a great accomplishment for Victoria, but he’ll rant that his daughter betrayed him and vow not to forget it.

However, Nikki will urge Victor to call Victoria and tell her he’s proud of her. She won’t think it’s too late to turn things around in Victor and Victoria’s relationship.

After Victoria and Ashland pat themselves on the back over the announcement, Ashland will start to head back to his suite.

Victoria will stop Ashland and invite him to stay at her house while they launch the company instead. She’ll point out that the press won’t be camped out there – and there’ll be plenty of room.

Victoria will even think Harrison could come spend the night and play with her kids, but Ashland will be wary of accepting this offer. Nevertheless, Victoria will keep pushing and will admit she’s falling for Ashland.

Ashland will insist that the reality is he’s dying – possibly within months. Ashland won’t see why Victoria would want to subject her kids or herself to watching his decline.

Victoria will stand her ground, even after Ashland says he should go back to New York. Although Victoria will acknowledge that maybe she can’t have this forever, she’ll want it for as long as she can have it.

“You’ll stay with me, won’t you?” Victoria will plead. In the end, Ashland will cave in.

At the ranch again, Adam will be rather nonchalant about the merger. “What’s the matter with you, boy?” Victor will ask.

Victor will note that Adam forgave Billy and then forgave Chelsea. Now Adam’s shrugging off a major business rival – his sister no less!

Victor will wonder if Adam’s lost his killer instinct, but Adam will insist he’s still got his competitive streak and plans to make a move.

Adam will suggest that the merger was rushed and will contend that within six months, Victoria will probably rue the day she took the offer.

Adam will be prepared to seize any opportunities that come their way in the meantime.

As for Tara, she’ll hope Victoria understands Ashland’s wishes regarding Harrison and honors them.

Kyle will assure Tara that Victoria isn’t the type to disinherit a child. Besides, Harrison will always be taken care of since he’s an Abbott. Tara will admit that’s something she’s grateful for every day.

Once Tara is summoned to the park, she’ll wonder what Sally wanted to talk about that was so urgent.

Sally will ask how that video of Ashland wound up on the Internet, so Tara will tell her to relax since no one knows Sally took it. “You relax! I don’t want any part of this!” Sally will fire back.

Tara will confess that she sent herself a copy since she thought it’d be useful – and it was.

Sally will get confirmation that Tara was behind the leak, but Tara will argue that they’re the only ones who know anything.

Tara will think they just have to keep quiet, so Sally will agree to pretend this never happened and stomp off.

As the camera pans over, we’ll see that Billy has been spying on the tense conversation nearby.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Billy will scheme against Tara in the coming episodes, so don’t miss what’s ahead! CDL’s where you want to be for hot Young and the Restless spoilers, updates and news, so make us your go-to Y&R source.
