The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Wednesday, June 23, tease that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will suspect Summer Newman (Hunter King) has a secret while Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) face off. Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will also warn Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi), so it’ll be an episode filled with concerns and conflict!
For starters, Kyle will get the feeling that Summer’s hiding something from him. Summer has hinted about some work drama, but she’s also assured Kyle that she can handle it herself.
The more time Kyle spends with Summer, the more upset she’ll seem. It’ll leave Kyle wondering if there’s something else going on – something that could lead to trouble in their relationship.
Kyle will no doubt bring some guilt by reminding Summer that they don’t keep secrets anymore. He’ll push Summer to trust him and let him help with whatever’s bothering her.
Kyle may even make some wrong assumptions about the source of Summer’s worries, but he’ll feel confident that they can tackle anything together.
Of course, Summer doesn’t feel like she can tell Kyle the truth due to Tara’s threats. She’ll keep quiet about that part, but the Marchetti job offer revelation is bound to come out soon.
Kyle should be thrown for a loop over Summer’s Italy plans in the coming episodes, so stay tuned to Y&R.
In the meantime, Phyllis will try to take charge of the situation and put some fear in Tara. She’ll feel like Tara must be a factor in why Summer’s considering throwing her relationship away.
Phyllis will make it clear that her daughter is not to be messed with, but Tara may think Phyllis should let Summer fight her own battles.
While Phyllis and Tara have a heated showdown, Billy and Ashland will have a tense encounter as well. Since we know Billy’s set to deliver a warning, that’ll probably involve Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle).
Billy may insist that Victoria doesn’t deserve any more heartbreak and advise against causing any.
However, Ashland might point out that it’s none of Billy’s business. He might add that Billy is the last person who should be weighing in considering how many times he’s hurt Victoria in the past.
Ashland should keep his cool, but Billy may struggle to match that nonchalant energy if Ashland pushes his buttons too hard!
