The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Wednesday, June 30 Recap – Billy Digs Own Grave – Ashland LA Trip – Sutton Thwarts Amanda

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Wednesday, June 30, reveals that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will dig his own grave while Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) makes an LA trip offer. Sutton Ames (Jack Landron) will also thwart Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan), so let’s talk about what’s in store on Wednesday’s Y&R episode.

At Newman Enterprises, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will point out to Ashland that who leaked the story isn’t as important as how he handles it.

Victoria will wonder if Ashland wants to get ahead of this with a statement, but Ashland will think he should act as if the whole thing is beneath him. He’ll prefer to focus on the merger, but Victoria will suggest getting some air first.

At Devon Hamilton’s (Bryton James) penthouse, Amanda will admit Naya Benedict (Ptosha Storey) is the last person she thought she’d be visiting in jail. Devon will be surprised that Naya even agreed to speak with Amanda under the circumstances.

Amanda will note that she won’t have a lot of time to convince Naya to recant her confession or at least exercise her right to remain silent.

Amanda will add that Imani Benedict (Leigh-Ann Rose) is refusing to return her calls and texts before ranting about Sutton’s grip on the family. Amanda will suggest Sutton is about to see that she’s the exception who’ll stand against him.

Afterward, Devon will meet with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) after hearing from Vic’s assistant. Victor will want to promote some of Devon’s recording artists on Newman Media’s online music platform and shine a light on the Winters Mood label.

Devon will think that’s a fantastic idea, but he won’t be able to give Victor an exclusive since Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) is planning ChancComm coverage.

Victor will assure Devon that he expected that before talk turns to how well Devon has kept his family together in the aftermath of Neil Winters’ (Kristoff St. John) passing.

After Victor brings up how Amanda must be devastated to know one parent killed the other, Devon will admit things have been rough for her. He’ll acknowledge that they still don’t know the full truth about what happened to Richard Nealon.

Victor will mention how Sutton is a typical politician who avoids saying too much and safeguards his reputation.

After Devon admits Amanda’s father knew about both twins and wanted to raise them, Victor will think it’s good Amanda has Devon in her corner.

At the office, Billy will get off the phone with a report who’s hit a wall. Billy will tell Lily that’s the second one who’s come up empty on the Ashland story.

Billy will be frustrated since no one can confirm Locke’s living on borrowed time, so Lily will think they have to consider the possibility that it was a lie designed to make Ashland look vulnerable.

Billy will suggest that if that’s the case, they have to consider who would make up a story like that and why.

Billy will suggest that they need to find someone who wants to make Ashland suffer both personally and professionally. Billy will also think he knows just where to start.

At the Abbott mansion, Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) will flash back to Ashland chewing her out over the leak regarding his terminal illness.

When Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), he’ll let Tara know that he doesn’t want to pry. That said, Jack will know the news must be upsetting.

Jack will want Tara to know that if Ashland is indeed dying, Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez) will have Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor and the rest of the Abbott family to lean on.

Once Billy arrives to speak with Tara, Jack will push him to back off. Billy will argue with Jack until Tara insists she’s willing to answer questions.

Tara will note that if this is about Ashland’s health, there won’t be much to tell since she’s the last person he’d want to confide in. Billy will point out that’s not the same as saying Ashland didn’t confide in her.

Tara will ask if there’s anything else Billy would like to talk about, so he’ll wonder if it concerns Tara that his ex moved on with her ex so quickly.

After Billy admits to being concerned for his kids, Tara will get that part – the jealousy part not so much.

Billy will reiterate that he’s merely concerned and will wonder if he has a reason to be. Tara will suggest that if Billy’s OK with Ashland using Victoria to heal his wounded ego, then there’s no reason to be concerned at all.

After Billy exits, Jack will apologize for his brother’s intrusive questions. Tara will downplay the grilling session and will think Billy actually seemed worried about Victoria’s welfare.

After a brief stop in the park, Victoria and Ashland will go over some business details at Crimson Lights. Ashland will cough a bit before Billy appears with the opportunity to let Ashland set the record straight.

Victoria and Ashland will opt to leave instead – and soon after, Billy will needle Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) about not going after ChancComm.

Victor will suggest that if he needs cheering up, he just thinks about the fact that Billy’s digging his own grave. Victor will think Billy will create his own downfall sooner rather than later.

Billy will bring up the topic of Victoria’s interest in Ashland, but Victor will think Billy should mind his “damn business.”

Next, Lily will meet up with Billy and get updates on the ceasefire with Newman Media.

It’ll be a relief to know the threat’s not an issue for now, so Billy will suggest they get dressed up and go out to celebrate. Lily will think it’d be more fun to get undressed and stay in.

Back with Victoria, she’ll flirt with Ashland back in her office. Ashland will have to fly to Los Angeles tomorrow to shut down a satellite station. He’ll want Victoria to tag along and have dinner with him, but she’ll decline.

Ashland will take that as a maybe and will think they did this same dance when he asked Victoria to accompany him to New York.

Victoria will stand her ground this time, but she’ll grow concerned as Ashland has a coughing fit in her office. She’ll worry about him, but Ashland will smile and insist he’s not dead yet.

After Victor crosses paths with Ashland, he’ll approach Victoria and suggest that the rumors about Ashland dying must be true.

Back with Amanda, she’ll fume when she realizes Sutton got to Naya first. As a result, Naya will turn down the visit she previously agreed to.

In the park, Sutton will spot Amanda and suggest that Naya’s too ashamed to face her. He’ll hope Amanda now understands why he was hesitant to bring all the facts into the defense.

Sutton will talk about how Naya plunged into a deep depression after she gave up her babies. Amanda will point out that there’s no medical record of this.

Amanda will wonder if Naya’s planning to go with the “depression made her do it” defense under oath.

What Amanda will really want to know is how Sutton convinced Naya to take the blame for a murder he was responsible for.

Amanda will guess that maybe Sutton threatened Naya or someone she cared about.

Sutton will snarl that he won’t stand for these wild accusations. “I have heard enough out of you!” Sutton will shout. He’ll eventually calm down and note that he forgives Amanda for being wrong about him.

Sutton will also think Amanda is the perfect person to passionately defend Naya, so he’ll want to hire her to be Naya’s attorney. “Go to hell!” Amanda will fire back.

Back at Devon’s penthouse, Amanda will fill Devon in on Naya taking her off the visitors list after Sutton got to her first. She’ll also mention that Sutton wants her to represent Naya, but she’ll refuse to do it on Sutton’s dime and under his thumb.

Amanda will want to represent Naya on her own terms since she’ll be determined to bring Sutton down. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Amanda’s determination will intensify in the coming episodes, so stay tuned to Y&R.

CDL will have other great Young and the Restless spoilers, updates and news posts, so pop back in soon.
