The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Wednesday, June 9 Recap – Sally Pushes Tara to Make Kyle Fall In Love, Unite Against Summer

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Wednesday, June 9, reveals that Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will push Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) to make Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) fall back in love with her. Sally will propose uniting against Summer Newman (Hunter King), so she’ll give Tara a lot to think about.

In the park on Wednesday’s Y&R episode, Tara will spot Summer and approach her for a quick chat. Tara will act pleased that Summer’s getting along with Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez) and that Summer’s wedding plans are back on track.

After Summer leaves, Sally will corner Tara and insist she just needs five minutes of her time. Sally will insist that she knows Tara’s marriage is over and will argue that Tara obviously has her sights set on Kyle.

“I don’t know what gave you that idea, but it’s insane,” Tara will fire back. Sally will insist she’s not judging Tara since Kyle is rich, gorgeous and the father of Tara’s son.

She won’t think Tara should bother denying any of this and will contend that Summer is the only thing standing in Tara’s way. Sally will suggest she has a plan to get Summer out of both their lives.

Tara will wonder how Sally knows she won’t blow her out of the water. She’ll point out that she could reveal Sally’s scheme, but Sally will argue that she has a special radar for kindred spirits.

After Sally explains there’s an opportunity that’ll take Summer far, far away from Genoa City, she’ll think Tara can make sure Summer wants to take it. A curious Tara will wonder how she’s supposed to do that.

Sally will point out that if Summer takes this job, they’re in the clear. She’ll vow to keep working on the Summer side of the equation, but she’ll need Tara to handle Kyle.

“All you have to do is get him to fall back in love with you,” Sally will insist. She’ll sense that Tara’s intrigued and will feel like Kyle’s former flame can make this happen in no time.

Tara will declare that the plan’s ridiculous and will argue that she doesn’t have time for games considering everything that’s going on. She’ll announce she’s going to forget they ever had this conversation, but Sally will stop her from leaving.

“If and when you change your mind, just say the word,” Sally will say before Tara saunters off.

At The Grand Phoenix, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will bicker with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), who’ll think good things are happening because of the Newman Media and New Hope alliance.

Phyllis will complain that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) taints everything he touches, but she’ll try to respect Nick’s positive attitude. Even so, Phyllis will reserve the right to hate Adam.

In Adam’s office, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will stop by and mention that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) was upset earlier. She’ll assume that was because Adam did something underhanded or selfish.

Nikki will feel like it’s only a matter of time until this partnership sours, but Adam will hope to earn Nikki’s trust.

Nikki will suggest that Adam can start by revealing what he did to upset Victor. After Adam downplays it as business drama, Nikki will gripe about this venture pulling Victor out of his version of retirement.

Nikki will wonder what Adam really wants out of this, so Adam will insist that he wants to be a man that Connor Newman (Judah Mackey can admire and respect.

Adam will hope to live up to Victor’s expectations as well and will fully expect the family to keep an eye on him. Nikki will vow to show no mercy the moment she thinks Adam’s reverting to his former self.

She’ll also ask about Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) and the possibility that Adam will mend that relationship after her eventual release.

Adam won’t know what the future holds when it comes to Chelsea, but he’ll be determined to do right by his son. Nikki will hope that’s true since Adam has a lot to make up for.

At Crimson Lights, Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) will be nervous about leaving Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster) while she’s on a second honeymoon with Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso).

Rey will remain excited about their Miami plans and will reassure Sharon until she admits she’s still on board.

Over with Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi), he’ll grumble about a phone call and tell Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) that he has to fly back to New York tonight.

Victoria will suggest they can have dinner another time, but Ashland will urge her to come along and have dinner with him in Manhattan.

Victoria won’t be so sure that’s a good idea since Ashland’s going through a messy divorce. Nevertheless, Ashland will suggest that he appreciates Victoria’s perspective and enjoys being with her. He’ll encourage Victoria to check her calendars and let him follow up with her later.

Later, Nikki will pick up on Victoria’s good mood and will quiz her about the reason. Victoria will act like she simply had a productive day before taking a call from Ashland.

Despite Ashland’s repeated attempts to talk her into the New York trip, Victoria will have to take a raincheck. Nikki will wonder what that was about when Victoria hangs up, but Victoria will enjoy having a secret from her mother.

At the Abbott mansion, Summer and Kyle will discuss picking up where they left off on wedding planning. Summer will also mention her earlier encounter with Tara before Kyle suggests some play time with Harrison.

That’ll lead to a fun game of “I Spy” in the backyard before Tara returns. She’ll wonder what she missed and will wonder if Harrison’s new toy came from Daddy.

Summer will admit she gave it to Harrison, so Tara will act like that’s very sweet. Soon after, Ashland will text Kyle and Tara that he wants to meet with the two of them – no lawyers.

Kyle will wonder if this is happening because the deadline to Ashland’s deal is approaching. He’ll ask where Tara’s head is at since she’d have to shut Kyle out to get shared custody and Ashland’s financial support.

Before Tara can clarify where she stands, the doorbell will ring. After Kyle lets Ashland in, he’ll demand to know “what the hell” Ashland wants.

At the coffeehouse again, Sharon will be pleased to hear Summer and Kyle’s wedding is back on track. Nick will admit he’s trying to let them make their own decisions before Faith walks in.

Faith will talk about finding her groove in school and how she hopes to find her passion – like Moses Winters (Jacob Aaron Gaines) has with medicine.

Adam will appear next, so Faith will once again offer her gratitude since Adam saved her life twice. After Adam promises Faith doesn’t have to keep thanking him, he’ll want a word with Detective Rosales.

Rey will wonder if Adam has an issue with him, so Adam will admit this is about Rey’s visits to Chelsea’s psychiatric facility.

Adam will assume Rey’s trying to prove that Chelsea should’ve stood trial, but he’ll insist the decision’s been made. He’ll argue that Chelsea’s getting the help she needs, but Rey will get Adam to admit he’s the reason she needs help in the first place.

As things get heated between Rey and Adam, Nick and Sharon will send these enemies to their corners.

Once Adam exits, Nick will encourage Rey to focus on Sharon and their Miami trip. Sharon will be sorry about the whole situation, but Rey won’t want her to apologize.

After Rey makes plans to see Sharon at home later, he’ll get a text from DA Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc). Michael will want to meet with Rey ASAP.

At Chelsea’s facility, she’ll look up to see Adam has come for a visit. Chelsea will ask if Adam came to gloat, but he’ll insist he came to see how she was doing. Adam will explain that he merely told Connor that Chelsea was having treatments.

Chelsea will insist that Connor needs to know she hasn’t stopped loving him for one second, so Adam will promise that Connor knows.

After Adam notes that the school year’s almost over, he’ll add that Connor will be coming home soon. Chelsea will be glad to hear Connor’s doing so well and will want nothing more than to be with her little boy again.
