The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers preview for the week of December 27-31 teases that Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will have a New Year’s Eve proposal for Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) while Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) admits he wants shared custody of Dominic Newman-Abbott-Chancellor.
Y&R released a new preview video that kicks off with Victoria Newman-Locke (Amelia Heinle) and Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) confrontation. Although Billy’s known for being a screwup, Victoria will ultimately realize there’s more going on than meets the eye.
Victoria will call Billy out on his hidden agenda and get a confession about his takedown plan. She’ll realize Billy wants her to stay silent while he sets a trap for her father.
Of course, Billy may point out that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) is his main target, though he’ll certainly believe Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) deserves to go down, too.
Victoria kept her mouth shut about Victor and Adam’s trap with Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi), so Billy may argue that fair is fair.
If Victoria truly wants to stay out of the drama, then perhaps she should let Billy continue his fake life derailment without interference.
It looks like Victoria will agree to keep Billy’s secret, but she’ll want something in return. This will bring a dangerous deal between the exes, but Billy won’t really have a choice.
At the Chancellor mansion, Devon will drop a bomb on Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) and Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd).
Devon will push for visits with Dominic at his place and may suggest having Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) draw up a formal agreement.
Abby will think it sounds like Devon’s talking about shared custody, so Devon will admit that’s indeed what he has in mind.
Naturally, Chance and Abby are going to be unsettled over this sudden change in Devon’s attitude.
Devon’s initial goal was to help Abby and Chance start their own family, so it’s sure to feel like he’s stealing a piece of that family for himself.
This isn’t really any different from Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) getting too attached to Dominic when he wasn’t her child to raise.
However, Chance is pretty down on himself in the dad department and may be torn over Devon’s request.
Abby will inevitably grow more concerned about Devon’s bond with Dominic and how it might be hindering Chance’s opportunity to form a connection.
Other Y&R spoilers say Sally will have a proposal for Adam to consider.
Sally will point out that they could hang out and do nothing together for New Year’s Eve, but Adam will hesitate on accepting that offer. “It all depends on what the nothing is that you want to do,” Adam says in the weekly promo.
Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will plot to score her own alone time with Adam this New Year’s Eve, so he’ll continue to get pulled in multiple romantic directions.
