The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers preview for the week of May 17-21 teases that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will decide to go public with Harrison Locke’s (Kellen Enriquez) paternity while Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) flirt.
As for Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson), she’ll confess to Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) about the trouble she’s in.
First, Kyle will get updates from Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner), who’ll admit that Ashland tricked her into coming clean about her affair with Kyle in the Hamptons.
Ashland promptly kicked Tara out and threatened to take custody away from her, so she’ll initially ask Kyle to hide her while she figures out a plan.
Later, Tara will insist that the best way to handle this is for Kyle to claim his son. Once Kyle mulls it over, he’ll decide Tara’s right. That means Kyle will have to drop quite a bomb on Summer Newman (Hunter King) – and on the whole world if his plan moves forward!
Summer knows all about Kyle’s affair and Harrison’s true paternity, but she thought all of that would remain in Kyle’s past. Instead, Kyle will reveal that he intends to put the scandal front and center in their present lives.
“I need to protect my son,” Kyle says to a stunned Summer in Y&R’s weekly preview video. “And the only way I know how to do that is to go public – admitting to the affair with Tara and claiming paternity.”
Meanwhile, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will be taken aback when Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) reveals he’s already searching for their new home.
Lily will acknowledge that they decided to move in together, but she’ll seem uneasy over looking at places so soon. Billy won’t see why they should wait, so it’ll lead to some tension as they try to get on the same page.
Over with Kevin, he’ll want to know if Chloe helped Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) poison Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) and frame Adam Newman (Mark Grossman). Chloe will admit she was involved, but she’ll explain that she didn’t realize the extent of Chelsea’s plot until it was too late.
Kevin won’t be happy about the mess Chloe’s in, but he’ll blame Chelsea for it since Chloe just thought the scheme was about stolen trinkets and bogus texts. Chloe had no idea Chelsea wanted to poison an innocent detective, so Kevin will have Chloe’s back on this.
At Society, Ashland will join Victoria for a conversation at the bar. “You drive a hard bargain,” Ashland insists with a smile in the weekly promo. “You have no idea,” Victoria replies – clearly flirting back.
It looks like Victoria will mix business with pleasure if that’s what it takes to get ahead!
