The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that a great crossover event is coming up with The Bold and the Beautiful, which will have Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) at the heart of it. Summer Newman (Hunter King) will hope she can get the real story behind Sally and what she’s capable of.
Naturally, Summer will also take the opportunity to do what’s good for business! She’ll talk to Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks) and Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) about Sally, but she’ll also hope to get the Jabot Collective more exposure.
Summer will pitch the idea of Spencer Publications promoting JCV and taking the brand to the next level.
Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will be part of the Sally side of this storyline, which will also feature B&B’s Flo Fulton (Katrina Bowden). This is an excellent opportunity for The Bold and the Beautiful characters to cross paths with ones from The Young and the Restless.
Could there be more opportunities like this in the future? In a new issue of SOD, Y&R Head Writer and Co-executive Producer Josh Griffith did an interview with B&B Head Writer and Executive Producer Bradley Bell.
Both Griffith and Bell like the idea of future crossovers – and Sheila Carter’s (Kimberlin Brown) name is being tossed around!
In that interview, Bell and Griffith were asked about the possibility of other Y&R characters landing in Los Angeles or more B&B characters landing in Genoa City. Some options like Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang), Lauren Baldwin (Tracey Bregman) and Sheila were included as part of the question.
“All of those, I think, are possible,” Bell insisted. He added, “And who knows, Sheila is always lurking somewhere.” Griffith agreed that he’d “love for this to expand” and suggested that there’ll be plenty more chances for crossovers in the future.
Bell and Griffith really enjoyed working together on this latest one and hope to do it again.
Many Y&R viewers would love to see Sheila shake up GC, especially since The Young and the Restless could use a real villain right about now. Sheila’s wild streak could come in handy as a way to create some serious waves and pull several Bold and the Beautiful characters into the story, too.
Nothing’s set in stone yet, but it’s a good sign that Sheila’s being discussed as a potential crossover candidate. We’ll offer updates as other Y&R news comes in. Would you like to see Sheila Carter again?
