The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that we’ve got a 2022 preview, which features buried secrets, custody wars and hot love triangles. Let’s talk about what’s coming up in the new year and how it’ll affect all your favorite characters.
For starters, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will deal with some confusion when it comes to his romantic path.
Although Adam will try to set boundaries with both Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) and Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope), they’re not the kind of women who stay inside the lines!
Sally and Chelsea are in competition for Adam’s heart whether anyone wants to admit it or not, but the competition won’t stop there.
Y&R fans can expect Chelsea and Sally’s feud to spill over into work, so Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) will have her hands full at the fashion platform.
Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will need a distraction from all the recent drama in his life, so he’ll make his career the focus for a while.
As for Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc), a career change could be around the corner, but he’ll need guidance from those closest to him – especially Lauren Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman).
Over with Noah Newman (Rory Gibson), he’ll try to cope with all the heartbreak he’s faced.
Noah will struggle to look to the future instead of the past, but Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) and Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) will provide support along the way.
Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will deal with more concerns about the Newman family, especially when she realizes Nick and Victoria Newman-Locke (Amelia Heinle) have changed for the worse in some ways.
It’ll be a challenge for Nikki to rein in her children and remind them of who they are at their core.
Phyllis will continue to mull over how she feels about Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and what their relationship should look like in the new year. Of course, Jack will get an opinion on that as well!
It seems like a no-brainer for Jack and Phyllis to get back together, but they’ll have to get on the same page about when and how to take the next steps.
Speaking of next steps, Billy’s going to take some in his vengeful plan against the Newmans. Unfortunately, Billy’s scheme could take a wrong turn and end in disaster if he’s not careful.
Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will have a lot on her plate between Billy’s chaos and her new role running Chancellor Industries. The strain will lead to Lily losing her cool at times, so her romance with Billy could land in rocky territory.
There’ll be some issues between Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) and Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) as their jobs put their relationship to the test.
Imani Benedict (Leigh-Ann Rose) may take advantage of a bad situation since she’s always had her eye on Nate, but Elena will be waiting to fight back if need be.
As Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) tries to help Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) settle into family life, Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) will cause problems.
Devon will want more time with Dominic Newman-Abbott-Chancellor, so this will build to him pushing for shared custody in the new year.
Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) will be more than willing to help Devon with the legal aspect of all this, but he’s bound to face some resistance from Abby and Chance.
This isn’t what they all agreed on when they started this baby journey, so Devon may be asking for too much here.
Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) will start a family journey of their own, but Mariah will also have to figure out where she fits in Dominic’s life – particularly once all the custody chaos is going on.
As for Victoria and Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi), their relationship will once again be plagued by secrets and trust issues.
Ashland didn’t tell Victoria everything she needed to know before they tied the knot, so we’ll see if his terminal illness was a scam or if there are other buried shockers to unearth.
Finally, Victor will take the necessary steps to protect his empire, so that’ll bring a face from the past into the story.
It turns out Victor will seek help from someone in his history while he tries to stay on top of things.
