Kevin is going over his lines when Kate calls him and thanks to him for the edible arrangement he sent her. She says they are waiting for the babysitter then they are going with Ellie to the hospital. Kevin says he has his big courtroom scene coming up where he cross-examines DeNiro, she says that sounds terrifying. He then says he is back next week and he is not going anywhere. Kevin says he is sorry, he has to go.

Back to Jack going to baseball practice with his dad, he gets in the car and notices a case of beer on the back seat. Jack doesn’t do too well and his father gives him a hard time. Jack notices he is drunk, he has a beer in his hand and says maybe they should wait it out a bit before they go home. His father throws him the keys and tells him to drive, then calls him hotshot.

Kevin calls Madison, she tells him she is on the way to the hospital and she doesn’t think these are fake contractions. He tells her that he is coming and he will get to her soon.

Jack is in the car with Kevin, he tells him that he used to play little league. Jack tells him that when he gets a football scholarship to Penn State this weekend is going to be the best investment he ever made.

Kevin is on the phone with Miguel trying to get a flight out, Foster calls him, he picks up and says please don’t tell him that he walked out on DeNiro. Kevin says he is not doing this, Madison calls and he picks up. She tells him there are no rooms available because she is early. He tells her she should have a private room, he has the direct number and he is going to call.

Meanwhile, Kevin is all over the road, he is on the way to the airport but he is not paying attention to his driving. He tells her that he will be there, he promises. Randall calls, Kevin picks it up, he tells him that he is driving home from New Orleans and wanted to see if he wanted to talk.

Kevin says now is not a good time, his whole life is upside down, Madison is in labor, he is stuck in Vancouver and never should have come. Foster calls again, he tells Kevin that he needs him to turn around, Kevin tells him to shut up, nobody cares about his movie and he quits.

Jack and Kevin are at the hotel with his coach and two players from Penn State, Jack says they are ready. Later, Kevin throws up and Jack asks if he is ok.

Madison is on the phone with Kevin, she says everything is ok, the babies are a good weight, the doctor is not worried. She is in full labor, they are coming. He tells her to keep those contractions slow because he is coming too. He asks if he can help with anything.

Kevin calls Miguel, they got him a flight from Seattle in two hours, Kevin says he can make it. Kevin speaks to his mom, he tells her that he wanted the delivery day to be perfect, he wanted to be there for her. She says she understands, he wanted to be like his father. Kevin loses reception on his phone, he slows down when he sees something. It is a car and it went into the ditch.

Younger Jack is driving home with his drunk father who is telling him that he told his mother if they signed him up for baseball they were just throwing their money down the drain. Jack loses it and tells him to shut up.

Kevin is in the hotel with Jack who asks him if he feels better. Then, he asks him what is going on. Kevin asks him what happens if he sucks, what if he is not that good at football, it means he has nothing. Kevin tells him that he hears him talk to mom all the time, Randall is a genius and all he has is football. Further, the only time he spends with him alone is at football. He says his coach yells at him and calls him stupid pretty much every day of his life. Jack says they should go get some food.

Kevin finds a man in the car, he is alive. He tells Kevin his leg is stuck and it hurts really bad. The car is on fire and Kevin knows that he has to get him away from there. Kevin manages to pick him and up and drag him away from the vehicle. We see Kevin’s license on the ground, it fell out when he went to pick up the man.

Jack and Kevin are in a pub to grab a bite, he orders two New York strips with onion rings and cokes. Kevin says the place is pretty cool. Jack tells him that football is not the only thing that he has. Jack tells him about his father going to his little league games, he always showed up but he made them a living hell for him, he got drunker and drunker. Baseball, this thing that he loved, became all about his father. When he would lose his father would say horrible things to him. He would often pray that his team would win so he could be spared.

Jack says he wasn’t all bad. And even when they are long gone, we are stuck with them, they are inside of us. He promised himself that he would be nothing like him, but here he is putting all this pressure on him and make him sick. Kevin tells him that he is way better than his dad. Jack tells him that he is going to be way better than him. Jack gets up to go to the washroom, he sees the coach go in and he follows him in. Jack tells him not to ever call his kid stupid again. Jack returns to Kevin, says Coach was there. Then he asks if he said anything to him in the washroom, Jack says no.

Kevin is in his car, he has the injured man inside and they are driving. He tries to call Maddison to check in but he gets her voicemail. The man is awake he recognizes Kevin and says life is so weird. He looks like he is going to pass out so Kevin keeps talking to keep him awake. The man talks about his children, and says this is not the most important day of their lives when they are born, they will never remember it and there will be many more. Kevin tells him that his dad was the most there person that he ever knew, he would have saved the man and make it to the birth. He would have found a way to do it all, and he wants to be that person too. Kevin drops the man off at the hospital and goes.

Kevin arrives at the airport, he arrives at pre-check and looks for his ID, he doesn’t have it. He begs the security to do what they can to get him on that plane. Randall and Beth call Madison, they spoke to Kevin and know he is trying to get there, if she needs anything, they are there for her. Maddison thanks them. Kevin’s car was not the one to go on fire, which is great, but we don’t know if he made the plane and arrives in time to see the twins born.

THE END!
