Tonight’s episode begins with Eddie on patrol with her partner when she witnesses a kid start getting really aggressive with a hotdog vendor saying that she didn’t give him his change, but it was in his hand.
At the Station Danny gets a call about Maggie Gibson, she was stabbed and she is in the ER right now.
Jamie is in a room and a man in handcuffs is sitting down in there with him, he says he might convince the DA to go easy on him for his Cadillac converter theft. Jamie tells him to do something good for a chance. The guy says all the guns floating around, he knows the dud that gets the buyers to show up at a certain corner, dude pulls up, pops his trunk, and it’s game on. He gives a name, Sharee Shay, her man is one stop clock shop, but he doesn’t know his name. They just have to find her.
Mrs. Connors drops by to see Frank, they sit down in his office and he gives her his condolences. She says she knows something that he doesn’t know, about the circumstances of her husband’s resignation from this office. The investigation started with a top to internal affairs, whose identity was never revealed Frank says what’s done is done, and Bill Connors has passed. She wants the full-blown police commissioners send off for him. She doesn’t want less than a full salute. Frank says he was an effective cop, but he dishonored the department and especially this department with his eyes wide open and his hands grabbing. She says after his resignation he worked for food banks 70 hours a week, for one dollar a year, and never told a soul. She gets up and leaves.
Jamie tells Eddie he has a lead on those guns on the streets.
Maria and Danny are in the hospital to see Maggie, she doesn’t remember anything, and she is worried that the attack took away her psychic ability. She says months ago a husband whose wife he helped started screaming at her in a grocery store saying that she convinced his wife to divorce him.
Eddie goes outside the station and she finds that her car windshield is smashed. She goes inside and looks at a surveillance video with Luis and he recognizes the woman who smashed her car, Diane Toby, he hooked up with her a couple of times, and it fizzled out.
Frank is with Sid who says Connors may not have been a shining example of everything but he doesn’t deserve to be judged by his worst day. Frank says he has an obligation to look at everything. They found theft and abuse of office with Connors. One thing Frank cannot forget, on 9/12 the NYPD took an apartment if they needed a meal, or cry. Connors kept that apartment afterward, loaded with booze on the NYPD dime, and entertained his girls.
Jamie and Anthony have found Sharee Shay, she is shoplifting in the pharmacy, a cop is about to stop her and Anthony convinces him not to.
Maggie is being released, Maria offers for her to stay at her place.
Eddie and Luis meet up with Diane outside her place, she is angry, she thought Luis and Eddie were a couple. Eddie sets her straight and says she is leaving, she doesn’t want to be in the middle of this.
At the family dinner, Henry is upset, they are talking about Connors and he thinks he was responsible for his dismissal.
Eddie asks everyone who broke their heart and how they reacted. Everyone has a story.
Maria is at home, Maggie is there holding and rocking her baby while she gets some wine for them. Maggie thanks her for taking her in.
Eddie is with Luis, he says his relationship with Diane is complicated. Eddie says she wants to talk to her.
Frank shows up at Connor’s old office and his wife is there as well. She says her husband kept a neat office. She tells him that she doesn’t expect him to speak at his service, but he knows that everyone else will.
Eddie stops by to see Diane at her work and she says she is so sorry for her did. Her whole life has been a spiral. COVID, losing her job, Luis left and ghosted her. Eddie tells her that she is just partners with Luis. Eddie tells her that she thinks she is a really good person who made a really bad mistake. But, she gets a get-out-of-jail-free card for this one.
Maria and Maggie are talking about a case, where Maggie saw a man in the park and had a vision about his brother, the man seemed upset. Then, the man went to the precinct and confessed to killing his brother.
Anthony and Jamie find Sharee and she makes a run for it, a car pulls up and she gets away.
Danny and Maria go to see the guy who killed his brother, he got out of prison on a technicality. They tell him that they know he told his roommate that he was going to kill Maggie, she was stabbed and bled out, and she died. He says he wasn’t involved, they say good to know and leave him.
Luis and Eddie are in the patrol car,
Sheree is being forced into a car by the guy who actually gave her name to Jamie, and Jamie is there to witness it. Jamie tells him that he knew he was playing him. Then, Jamie says she is going to bring him to her boyfriend before he sells any more guns to criminals.
Maggie surprises her attacker in the dark, he says he killed her and she can’t be there, Danny and Maria are there and arrest him.
Jamie and Anthony got Sharee and her boyfriend in custody.
