In tonight’s Chicago PD episode, the signature of a Los Tremidos kill was found on a John Doe. An ice pick through the neck. Doe’s remains were found at the dump. Some bird watcher was chasing a rare bird when he came across the body and called it in. The police were alerted. Voight and his team were brought in because it was known that they were investigating the gang responsible. They later identified the victim as Pedro. He works with his cousin Miguel in committing robberies and it seems they stole a car after robbing a bakery. The car they stole belonged to Blanca Consuela. The police later found the car at one of the cousin’s place along with another body of the other cousin and a field test showed that there was heroin in the back of the car.

Now, they spoke to their inside woman with Los Tremidos. She doesn’t recognize the cousins because she said they didn’t belong to the gang and so that meant the car they stolen was a transport vehicle. The cousins unfortunately stole from the biggest gang in Chicago. The team went looking for Consuela hoping to hear her side of things and to finally get information on the gang, but she was later found dead from a gunshot and it seems it didn’t happen long after tried going on the run. Consuela must have realized the gang would come after her for losing their product. She told her boyfriend she was running and sadly she never made it out of Chicago.

Her boyfriend was still around, though. Eric Salsbury was his name. He said that someone came to the house with a gun and they would have killed him if he hadn’t told them everything they wanted to know. The hitman must have then used the information to get to Consuela. Voight checked in with his source to see who killed Consuela and she said the hit looked like a Paco’s work. The team wanted to capture Paco in the hopes of him turning evidence against the gang leader. Paco’s weapon was used in several other homicides and so they have enough to send him to prison for life. Voight once again deployed his source.

He sent Anna to a Los Tremidos party. She was supposed to find the gun and get it to them. Anna managed to flirt with Paco. She got him to take her to his basement. He got called away and she was searching the place when his friends came in. They didn’t find her snooping. But Anna recognized one of them and it freaked her out. She made a mistake in the field. Paco almost caught her and Voight was so worried for her that he rushed in. He used the pretext that someone at the party had an outstanding warrant to rush in and Anna was fine. She didn’t need them coming to her rescue. She managed to talk herself out of a situation all by herself.

Anna later talked to Voight. She told him not to rush in like that again because she has everything handled and so Voight talked to Halstead about it. He asked his friend if they should keep Anna in the field. Halstead said they should. He said that Anna is so angry at the world that its unlikely she’ll make a mistake. Voight decided to listen to Halstead. He kept Anna in the game and it almost cost her, her life. Anna managed to convince Paco to take her to the shooting range. They shot some bottles. She tried out some of his guns but she didn’t get his glock and that was the murder weapon. Anna asked him about it.

Anna claimed she needed power than a mere hand gun. Paco laughed because he thought she was just being cute and so Anna pretended she needed to use the bathroom. She instead went looking around his private shooting range. She found his weapons. She caught in on her camera and Paco caught her taking video. He pulled his gun on her. He demanded to know who she was working with. The police intervened and so Paco tried to make his escape. The police chased after him. They later cornered him and were able to arrest him. But Paco made threats. He said that Anna is dead. He said the moment he tells his boys about her that she’s dead.

Voight went over several scenarios to protect Anna. He couldn’t think of anything legal. He then turned to Halstead again and Halstead helped him figure out a way forward for Anna. They found out Paco has a son that no one knows about. They threatened to put his baby mama into prison if he didn’t keep Anna out of this and if he didn’t turn informant against his boss. But he couldn’t help them with the second part. Paco said that the boss distances himself from any connection to the rest of the gang. The gang doesn’t have any way of tying him to the crimes much less testifying to that and as it turns out Paco didn’t have to worry about testifying because he was later killed in prison. And that was it for him.

Anna meanwhile came clean to Voight. She told him about how she was initiated in that she was drugged, beaten, and raped. Now whenever she hears a voice that sound familiar, it takes her right back to that night. And so Anna wants to take out the gang.

She truly does and that’s why she went to work for the bakery where Consuela used to work.

THE END!
