Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) will inevitably attack Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) for killing Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller). Chad’s bound to get the wrong idea after Thomas DiMera (Cary Christopher) makes a confession, so let’s talk about how things might play out.
After Chad faces this tough goodbye, this grieving husband will want payback. Chad is losing the love of his life, so he certainly won’t let the culprit escape justice – especially when his young children are losing their beloved mother, too.
That brings us to Leo’s phony story about being the tooth fairy. Leo warned Thomas that he couldn’t tell anyone about this tooth fairy sighting, but Thomas indeed told Abigail.
Of course, Abigail wasn’t able to put the clues together and figure out that Leo was hiding out down in the DiMera tunnels, but Chad knows there was some tooth fairy situation going on. That’s probably going to come up again since Thomas is on the verge of losing a tooth.
Thomas might even suspect the tooth fairy killed his mom and fill Chad in on the whole story. That could lead to Thomas describing this supposed magical figure and their conversation in the secret room.
It probably won’t take Chad long to figure out that Leo was posing as the tooth fairy. Since Chad knows Leo was hitting targets one by one on his revenge mission, you can bet he’s going to blame Leo for Abigail’s murder.
Chad will be eager to hold someone responsible – and he hates Leo’s guts anyway. It’ll be easy for Chad to assume Leo resorted to stabbing Abby to death, so he’ll no doubt launch an attack of his own.
However, Days fans will eventually learn what really happened from Leo’s perspective. DOOL will offer Leo’s version of events and presumably show some flashbacks to explain everything.
In Leo’s side of the story, he may have heard the murder behind the closed bathroom door. It’s also possible Leo managed to slip out before it even happened if Abigail stepped out of the bedroom briefly.
Leo was spotted looking sweaty and nervous in the aftermath of Abigail’s stabbing, so one of two things went down. Either Leo found the body and hightailed it out of there thinking he’d be accused – or he simply ran before the real murderer arrived.
Regardless, there’s pretty much no way Leo is actually guilty since a Days murder mystery almost always leads to someone unexpected. It’s never one of the first few suspects, so Leo should be in the clear.
That won’t stop Chad from thinking Leo is guilty and lashing out at him down the road, but he’ll battle some suspicions regarding Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) first. As other Days news rolls in, we’ll deliver updates.
