Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that we have to ask: Did Li Shin (Remington Hoffman) murder Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller)? Is DOOL’s latest villain hiding a deadly secret?
The show has been running down the list of expected suspects and clearing them one by one. None of the people suspected of murdering Abigail have ever seemed like real killer candidates.
Of course, that lines up with how Days usually operates when it comes to murder mysteries. The answer isn’t usually a simple one – and the culprit doesn’t tend to be someone you might expect either.
That’s why Li’s suddenly shady turn is interesting. Days is taking Li in a sinister direction now that he’s hiding things and trying to manipulate Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus).
If Li were a good guy, he’d step aside and let Gabi reunite with the love of her life. Instead, Li demanded a setback for the newly revived Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash).
Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (Richard Wharton) feared Li meant pulling the plug and was prepared to physically fight him to keep Stefan alive. However, Li told Dr. Rolf to relax and put his dukes down.
“I’m no killer,” Li insisted on the August 9 episode. Doesn’t that sound like something the killer would say? It felt like a potential clue about where this storyline is headed.
Li has known about Stefan’s resurrection project for quite some time, but he never spilled that info. It’s not farfetched to think Li is keeping his role in Abigail’s murder a secret, too.
As for Li’s motive, that would no doubt be explained down the road. It’d be a mistake to count Li out just because the show hasn’t offered all the puzzle pieces yet.
Abigail was a great investigative reporter and may have been on the verge of uncovering something Li didn’t want anyone to know. Whether that was related to Stefan or something else, it’d be easy to explain that Li silenced Abigail and set up his new villain status.
