Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Johnny DiMera’s (Carson Boatman) marriage proposal will surprise Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens). Her ex-husband’s impatient plea for a new wedding will catch Chanel off guard, so let’s talk about this tricky situation.
Johnny would love nothing more than to make Chanel his wife again and pick up where they left off.
In fact, Johnny blurted out a previous plea to get married shortly after all Days’ devil drama came to light.
However, Chanel wasn’t ready to take such a big step with Johnny, especially since she has deep feelings for Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) as well.
Now Chanel is stuck trying to decide which twin she wants to be with – and the siblings aren’t making it easy on her with all the bickering they’ve been doing.
Chanel asked for time to sort things out, but EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) gave Johnny a nudge to fight for the woman he wants.
That’s exactly what Johnny will do when he pops the question once more during the week of July 18-22.
Instead of just blurting out an impromptu marriage proposal, Johnny may put some thought into it this time around.
Johnny might even recreate his trip to Italy with Chanel and really try to ramp up the romance.
Days spoilers say Chanel will share a kiss with Johnny in the aftermath of this proposal, but that doesn’t necessarily mean she’ll accept it.
Chanel certainly hasn’t given any indication that she’s ready to let Allie go, but Johnny may score some points and earn a kiss as a result.
Then again, it’s possible Johnny will simply pull Chanel into this kiss as he tries to convince her they belong together.
Either way, Allie’s going to witness this post-proposal lip lock and will no doubt face some devastation.
DOOL fans shouldn’t count Allie out of this love triangle just yet, but this is sure to feel like a pretty crushing setback.
