Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers update for Monday, January 3, teases that Chanel DiMera (Raven Bowens) will grill possessed Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) while Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) spills Philip Kiriakis’ (Jay Kenneth Johnson) secret. There’ll also be two Salem exits brewing, so let’s discuss what’s about to go down.
First, DOOL spoilers say Chanel will grow impatient waiting for Johnny in the DiMera living room. She was looking forward to kissing her new husband at the stroke of midnight, but that plan didn’t pan out.
Johnny hasn’t been feeling well, but he promised to rally in time for the countdown. Since that didn’t happen, it seems Chanel will head upstairs to see for herself what’s taking so long.
Chanel is in for a shock when she sees Johnny looking all devilish in his fiery red suit! She’ll surely wonder why Johnny would think that’s appropriate New Year’s Eve attire.
It looks more like something you’d wear to a Halloween party, but Johnny should defend his wardrobe choice and throw Chanel off the trail.
Johnny may suggest it’s something he had in his closet for when his possession movie premiered. He might contend that he didn’t want it to go to waste.
Chanel might think that flick is dead in the water, but Johnny might hint about breathing new life into it in the new year. I
t sounds like the possession film will be back on now that we know the devil has jumped into Johnny.
Johnny can be a bit of a rascal on a normal day, so he may have an easier time hiding his possession than Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) did.
Chanel might sense that Johnny is acting a bit odd, but she might blame his cold and brush right past anything that comes up.
Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) will probably mock Johnny’s suit since the twins tend to tease each other.
Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams) should be taken aback over Johnny’s look as well, but they’ll all come together for a toast as New Year’s Eve winds down.
Allie will plaster on a smile, but her “twintuition” might sound the alarm at some point. She feels like she knows Johnny better than just about anyone, so she may wonder what’s really going on with him.
At Marlena and John Black’s (Drake Hogestyn) townhouse, their quiet night alone will be interrupted.
Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) and Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) will want to check in with Marlena now that she’s settled back at home.
Marlena doesn’t have all the facts since she can’t remember most of what she did while possessed.
However, someone might fill her in on impersonating Steve and attacking Kayla to get her hospital key card. Marlena will continue to battle dreadful guilt, but Kayla and Steve will just be glad she’s OK now.
Next, Sami Brady DiMera (Alison Sweeney) will suggest catching a flight and starting a new chapter in Europe, where Sydney DiMera still lives.
Days spoilers say Sami will make this pitch to Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo), who’ll have an enthusiastic response.
Lucas will be glad they’re getting out of Salem since it’ll make it easier to keep the abduction he ordered a secret.
Lucas wants Sami to keep right on believing EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) is guilty, so it’s in his best interest to get away from the guy and this town in general.
As for Kate, she’ll decide she can’t keep lying to Roman Brady (Josh Taylor). Days spoilers suggest Kate will come clean about Philip revealing his survival.
Kate will explain how Philip’s jealousy drove him off the deep end and led to that Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) murder frame job.
Kate will admit she covered for Philip and sent him away for treatment, so Roman should understand on some level.
Roman may agree Philip needed help and thank Kate for trusting him enough to be honest.
