Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that another death will rock Salem since DOOL Head Writer Ron Carlivati has spilled that a major character will be killed off. In an interview with Michael Fairman, Carlivati confirmed that someone else would indeed end up dead.
Here’s what we know so far. Carlivati insisted this person would be “killed-killed,” so this won’t be some fake-out and there are clearly no plans to bring this person back.
Days spoilers say this will air in the not-too-distant future and will lead to a huge story.
Carlivati confirmed that it’s not a murder mystery, so fans won’t be left in the dark and will know what’s going on when this death plays out.
Of course, Carlivati couldn’t reveal all his secrets, so he refused to divulge the identity of who would die.
The only hint that Carlivati would offer is that it’s not Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall), which is no surprise considering she’s soap royalty!
Nevertheless, we can look at the clues here and do some speculating. The fact that Carlivati’s framing this as a dead-dead situation is interesting.
Could it be time to give Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston) a proper sendoff and let John Aniston enjoy his retirement?
Victor’s death would obviously be one that the show wouldn’t plan to undo later.
That might also explain why Alex Kiriakis comes back to town – and he indeed will in the form of Robert Scott Wilson.
Wilson will be tackling the role of Alex, so perhaps Victor’s death could set the stage for that.
Of course, it’s also possible Carlivati will get rid of a character like Clyde Weston (James Read) or Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) since they aren’t all that useful anymore.
Orpheus (George DelHoyo) and Evan Frears aka Christian Maddox (Brock Kelly) are other options that come to mind since they’re gearing up for a prison break that could go wrong.
However, those deaths wouldn’t really create a big story – not to mention it’d be silly to make any of them permanent.
Carlivati seemed pretty adamant that this particular death would stick, so that’s important to keep in mind.
Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash) might be a possibility since Days insiders have been hinting about Stefan DiMera’s (Brandon Barash) comeback.
It’d be an intriguing twist if Jake died right as Stefan returned from the dead – and it’d make it so Barash wouldn’t have to pull double duty.
Regardless, a major character death has already been filmed, so DOOL viewers will need to brace for another goodbye.
