Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that a Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) and Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) matchmaking plot may be coming up. This could become part of Kristen DiMera’s (Stacy Haiduk) plan to free up Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) for herself, so let’s talk about what’s in store.
Chloe and Stefan had a nice connection once upon a time, but Stefan’s love for Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus) won out in the end – at least until death blew “Stabi” apart.
Now that Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash) is dead, Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (Richard Wharton) will likely use him to revive Stefan.
Days spoilers say Kristen will be taken aback over Dr. Rolf’s project during the week of August 1-5, so that’ll probably involve putting Stefan’s memories into Jake’s mind.
Whatever the case, Stefan is indeed returning in some form. Gabi offered a clue recently when she brought up Stefan as the one true love of her life.
Days is starting to insert Stefan’s name more and offer little reminders ahead of the big twist.
Of course, DOOL writers have proven that they don’t do instant reunions!
Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) believed she was Renee DuMonde (Philece Sampler) before reverting to childhood, so Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) had some reunion obstacles – even after Sarah came back from the island.
Likewise, Eric Brady’s (Greg Vaughan) return didn’t send Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) running straight back to him.
“Ericole” is the couple to root for, but Nicole is married to Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) – and that creates complications.
In other words, Gabi and Stefan – or Jake’s version of Stefan if that’s how things play out – aren’t going to be happily reunited right off the bat.
That’d go against the writing team’s typical pattern, so we should prepare for new hurdles.
Some potential buzz points to Dr. Rolf cooking up a love potion soon.
In recent months, there were social media hints about Jake being drugged into falling for Chloe, but that may turn out to be Jake with Stefan’s memories implanted.
Since Kristen would love for Brady to be single, Dr. Rolf might whip up a love potion to use on Stefan and send him in Chloe’s direction.
Stefan may try to woo Chloe away from Brady as a result – and matchmaking Kristen could do her part to make sure he succeeds.
