Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Thursday, March 17, reveals that Eli Grant’s (Lamon Archey) coma saved TR Coates (William Christian) – and so did Beth Howard (Donielle Artese) since she lied to Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer). Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) and Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) also talked about their couple status, so here’s how all the Days action played out.
In the town square on Thursday’s DOOL episode, Chanel spoke with Allie over the phone about all the devil drama.
Once Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) appeared, Chanel filled her mom in on TR’s willingness to let them out of their contracts.
Chanel mentioned that Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) agreed if she dropped the lawsuit, which Paulina wasn’t happy about.
However, Paulina considered the possibility that TR deserved another chance since she got one.
After Beth Howard (Donielle Artese) overheard some of Chanel and Paulina’s conversation, she revealed that she was the Celeste Perrault (Tanya Boyd) recast – though she didn’t know much about the part.
Chanel sat down with Beth to discuss some of the Celeste details, which led to Chanel admitting TR was her mom’s ex and that they had a child together.
Beth grew nervous as Chanel expressed concern over whether TR could be trusted.
After Shawn brought Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) up to speed on Eli’s shooting and took her to the hospital, he summoned Beth to the police station.
Beth was just about to tell Chanel something important, but she headed for the Salem PD instead.
Shawn surprised Beth by revealing that Eli was alive following the shooting.
Beth suggested that changed everything and left Shawn wondering what she meant, but she managed to cover.
Shawn needed to know exactly what Beth said to Eli when they spoke earlier. He warned her not to leave anything out, so that left Beth in a tight spot.
Back at the hospital, Valerie Grant (Vanessa A. Williams) joined Eli’s loved ones as they received word on Eli.
Paulina also showed up after a call from Abe Carver (James Reynolds).
Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) pointed out that the bullet was successfully removed, but Eli still wasn’t out of the woods yet.
In his hospital bed on Thursday’s Days episode, Eli had some hazy dreams about TR and mumbled in his sleep.
Eli kept mumbling despite Lani and Valerie pushing him to rest.
Eli was unable to reveal TR’s guilt before he had a seizure, which was brought on by a subdural hemorrhage.
Although Kayla and the medical staff managed to get it under control, Eli was in a coma.
As for TR, he read in the news that Eli had survived the shooting, so he headed to the hospital to see what he could find out.
Abe made it clear that he’d always be Lani’s dad and wanted TR to leave, but TR stood his ground.
When Lani came out, she was upset and alluded to Eli trying to speak. TR blurted out that he could explain, but he covered when he realized Eli wasn’t able to rat him out.
After offering coma updates, Kayla suggested they’d just have to let Eli’s body decide how long it needed to heal.
TR smirked a bit as he remained hopeful that his secret would stay under wraps.
Valerie and Lani both had emotional moments by Eli’s bedside – with Lani tearfully insisting that his family would be fine without him in the meantime.
Lani tried to stay confident that Eli would be fine, too.
Shawn returned to the hospital with a statement from TR’s ex-girlfriend Beth, so Paulina was taken aback since she just met her.
Paulina assumed Beth had horrible things to say, but Shawn recapped how Beth claimed TR was nonviolent and sober throughout their relationship.
TR was visibly relieved to know Beth kept her end of the bargain. Later, Abe glared as TR comforted Paulina in his arms.
Back with Allie, she left Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams) a voicemail about having the rest of his things packed up and ready for him.
Chanel came over soon after and learned Allie had a nice discussion with Will Horton (Chandler Massey).
Allie explained how she came to the conclusion that she was likely bisexual.
Allie was getting comfortable with that label and pointed out Tripp made it crystal clear they weren’t getting back together.
Chanel said she definitely wasn’t reuniting with Johnny either, so Allie thought maybe this could be their chance to explore a romance between them.
Allie wondered if that was crazy, so Chanel admitted it was – though she absolutely loved the idea of being a couple.
Chanel moved in close and kissed Allie as they shared a sweet moment to seal the deal.
