Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Tuesday, August 16, reveals that a Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) and brainwashed Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) reunion scheme came together while Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) revealed he got three years at Statesville. Here’s how all the DOOL drama went down.
At the bistro, Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) couldn’t believe he’d never met Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus) before.
Gabi and Alex exchanged official introductions as she joined his table with Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) and Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold).
Allie and Chanel seemed amused over all Alex’s flirting, but Allie eventually pointed out that Gabi was taken.
There was some talk about Li Shin (Remington Hoffman) and how they should include him in their next night out, but Alex didn’t seem too deterred by the competition.
Once Gabi left, Allie and Chanel teased Alex about striking out with three women.
Alex said the night was young and suggested the two of them should come home to take a hot shower with him.
Chanel and Allie passed on the threesome, but Alex let them know his offer stood – just in case they changed their minds.
After Alex stepped away, Chanel wondered if Allie would ever consider a suggestion like that, but Lucas’ phone call interrupted before Allie could answer.
In the town square on Tuesday’s Days episode, Lucas told Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) that he changed his plea to guilty in the kidnapping case and had already been sentenced to three years at Statesville.
Kate wasn’t happy, but Lucas didn’t want Allie to hate him and insisted on taking responsibility for his actions.
After Kate realized this was goodbye, she hugged her son and later made a big decision of her own.
At the pub, Paulina Price-Carver (Jackée Harry) and Abe Carver (James Reynolds) caught up with Roman Brady (Josh Taylor).
Although Paulina was hopeful about Roman and Kate patching things up, Roman remained upset over Kate’s betrayal and her need to coddle Lucas.
However, Kate ultimately arrived with the news of Lucas sealing his own prison fate.
After Kate admitted she was going to turn herself in as an accessory after the fact, Roman was stunned.
At the secret lab, Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) questioned Li’s presence and realized the plug had essentially been pulled on Stefan.
Once Kristen frantically got Stefan’s medical equipment and monitors working again, she was relieved over her brother being alive.
Kristen accused Li of trying to kill Stefan, but he acted like he just got there and pointed out that he funded the resurrection operation.
However, Kristen realized Li didn’t count on falling for Gabi and now viewed Stefan as more of a liability.
Li ultimately decided maybe there was a strategy that’d be beneficial for both of them.
Since Chloe caught Stefan’s eye once upon a time, Li wanted to revive those embers of romance inside him.
Considering everything else Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (Richard Wharton) had accomplished, Li felt like the doc was more than capable of this.
Kristen argued that even if Dr. Rolf could brainwash Stefan into wanting Chloe, that doesn’t mean Chloe would return his interest.
Li suggested they should take things one step at a time and got Kristen to at least think about it.
Once Kristen was alone with sedated Stefan, she seemed hopeful that he could help her get what she wanted.
Back with Li on Tuesday’s Days episode, he hinted to Gabi about some interesting ideas being tossed around during his meeting.
Li noted that they’d just have to see if those ideas came to fruition.
In a hotel suite, Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) brought Chloe up to speed on all the custody drama, but Chloe offered reassurance and didn’t think Kristen would go as far as kidnapping again – especially since she wanted Brady, too.
Brady insisted nothing would come between them before making love to Chloe and canoodling with her in bed.
