Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Tuesday, November 1, reveals that Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) and Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) had a multi-million ransom plan for Susan Banks (Stacy Haiduk). Wendy Shin (Victoria Grace) also made a threesome mistake when Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) gave her the wrong idea, so here’s how all Tuesday’s DOOL drama went down.
At the DiMera mansion, Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) was on a devious phone call with Wendy when EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) appeared. After Johnny hung up in a hurry, EJ pushed his son to admit he was plotting against him.
However, Susan popped up and defended Johnny since EJ had no proof. EJ talked about the person stalking him outside with a knife in a clown costume, but Johnny insisted he didn’t want to murder his father and denied any plotting.
Once EJ left on Tuesday’s Days episode, Johnny thanked Susan for sticking up for him, but she pushed him to confirm he was telling the truth. Although Johnny didn’t like how EJ treated Ava, he kept up his innocent act.
Susan was concerned about Johnny’s interest in Ava since she was a mafia princess, but Johnny didn’t think it mattered since EJ drove her out of town. Once Susan pushed Johnny not to give up on a romantic relationship, she had a premonition and insisted love was just around the corner.
Meanwhile, Chanel brought Wendy some coffee and pastries before bringing up a tricky topic. It was something that’d been on Chanel and Allie Horton’s (Lindsay Arnold) minds, but Allie thought Wendy might be more comfortable talking to just Chanel.
Wendy assumed Allie and Chanel wanted to have a threesome with her, so she admitted she wasn’t really into women and seemed flustered. Chanel urged Wendy to chill since she just wanted to ask her intentions regarding Johnny.
Wendy apologized for the confusion and assured Chanel that things were strictly platonic in this Johnny arrangement. This was just about working toward a common goal, which involved figuring out what EJ and Li Shin (Remington Hoffman) were really up to.
Chanel admitted she was protective of Johnny along with Allie, but she seemed satisfied by Wendy’s answers. Wendy pointed out that Johnny got this eager look sometimes and was like a puppy that you just want to pet.
Johnny appeared moments later sporting that eager puppy look, so Chanel laughed with Wendy and petted him on the shoulder. Once Wendy changed clothes, Johnny hoped they could strategize ahead of her first day at DiMera Enterprises.
Wendy assured Johnny that she had it covered, but she hoped for some advice regarding her outfit. Johnny fixed Wendy’s collar as they shared a close moment and told her that it was perfect.
After reassuring Maggie Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers) over the phone, Sarah screamed over a cockroach and got Xander to kill it. Xander left the door open because of a strange smell in the room and knew Sarah deserved better than this dump of a motel.
Once Xander cracked a joke about possibly returning to a life of crime, Sarah pushed him to stay on the right path and get a real job. A disguised Ava eavesdropped outside the door and met up with EJ in the town square later.
Ava sat behind EJ, who wasn’t having much success with the want ads in the newspaper. Ava admitted she wanted revenge on EJ and suggested all Xander had to do was kidnap Susan, who’d be held for ransom until EJ provided millions of dollars.
Once EJ came along, Xander offered info on an enemy in exchange for a DiMera executive position. EJ ranted about Xander being an unworthy loser, so Xander privately told Ava that he was in and said they’d “bleed that bastard dry.”
Back with Sarah, she got a visit from Maggie and accepted a check to tide them over until Xander scored a job. Although Sarah mentioned Xander’s joke about returning to a life of crime, she assured Maggie that he was hot on the heels of an honest living.
At Paulina Price’s (Jackee Harry) headquarters, she was all set to pay Sloan Petersen (Jessica Serfaty) a hefty sum on behalf of her client. Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) informed Paulina that she didn’t have to and got her job back after presenting the stolen file.
Paulina later reassured Chanel that the nightmare was over while Stephanie showed up at the Kiriakis mansion. That’s where Stephanie overheard Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) and Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) arguing after Chad learned Alex came through with Sloan.
Alex questioned Chad’s true feelings for Stephanie, but Chad said Stephanie just wasn’t that into Alex and suggested he needed to accept that. As for Chad’s own romantic possibilities, he reminded Alex that his wife just died.
While Stephanie listened in on Tuesday’s Days episode, Chad insisted nothing was happening with Stephanie and acted like nothing ever would.
Once Stephanie joined the conversation, she asked to speak with Alex alone and said she wanted to thank him again by taking him out to dinner. Alex wondered if that was crossing a line, but Stephanie was willing to make an exception and exchanged a sweet smile with him.
