Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Tuesday, November 22, reveals that EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) lost it over dead Susan Banks (Stacy Haiduk). Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) also lied to Sarah Cook (Linsey Godfrey) about a broken promise, so here’s how all the DOOL action played out.
In the town square on Tuesday’s Days episode, Gabi Hernandez (Camila Banus) found Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) kissing Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) and interrupted their lovey-dovey moment to show off her wedding invitations.
Gabi offered an invite, but Chloe tried to act like they’d be out of town on New Year’s Eve.
However, Gabi suggested Chloe should change her plans considering Li Shin (Remington Hoffman) was her boss and just promoted her.
Stefan assured Gabi that he’d be there and would bring Chloe as his plus one.
Once Chloe headed to the DiMera mansion with Stefan, he insisted he wanted to be at the wedding to watch Gabi turn on Li.
Stefan didn’t think Gabi was capable of real love and felt she was just working an angle.
When Stefan gloated about forcing Gabi to watch him with Chloe, she questioned why Stefan wanted to hurt his ex.
Stefan insisted he didn’t care enough about Gabi to want that and made it clear that he only had eyes for Chloe.
In Jakarta, Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) and Wendy Shin (Victoria Grace) slowly regained consciousness on the gurneys they were now strapped to.
Wendy and Johnny knew they needed to figure out a way out of their restraints and make it back to Salem.
Meanwhile, Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (Richard Wharton) brought Li up to speed over the phone and got new instructions.
When Gabi walked in their hotel suite, she overheard Li insist that Wendy had better come home emptyhanded.
Li told Gabi that Wendy played hooky in style by taking the DiMera jet with Johnny. As for the part about coming home empty-handed, Li made an excuse about not wanting her to come home with a bunch of souvenirs.
Although Li insisted he would fire Wendy when she returned, Gabi acted like he was overreacting and should let the lovebirds have fun.
Li teased Gabi about being an old softie and decided to reprimand Wendy by grounding her for a week instead.
Back in Dr. Rolf’s lab, he fried the recording Johnny made in one of his machines and prepared to give some injections to alter Wendy’s memory along with Johnny’s.
Fortunately, Johnny wiggled out of his restraints in time to grab Rolf and start a confrontation.
Wendy got out of her own restraints and knocked Dr. Rolf out, so Johnny was impressed.
Once Johnny and Wendy strapped Dr. Rolf to a gurney, he woke up and fumed. Wendy and Johnny left Dr. Rolf restrained as they planned to tell Gabi everything once they got back home.
In Salem again on Tuesday’s Days episode, Xander hinted about doing something terrible and breaking his word, but he ultimately lied to Sarah about quitting his job. Sarah naturally assumed Xander meant the one at “Rednax.”
Xander claimed his boss wanted him to do something he knew was wrong, so he walked away.
Since Sarah was confused, she wondered if Xander meant like cooking the books or something.
Xander claimed it was like that, so Sarah decided she was proud of him for doing the right thing.
While Xander was showering following a lovemaking session, Sarah watched a news report on the Susan and Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) case.
Next, EJ reeled as he watched Ava intentionally spin her car out, which sent her over the cliff edge with Susan in the backseat.
Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) showed up and stopped EJ from going down to search for Susan since that was a mission for the rescue team.
Sadly, the car exploded soon after and left EJ crying out in distress. There was no stopping EJ at that point, so Rafe crawled down after him.
Later, EJ rejected the blanket Rafe offered as he sat on the side of the road.
A firefighter informed EJ that no one could’ve survived that blast, so EJ was distraught.
Rafe wanted EJ to give his statement at the police station, but EJ had no interest in reliving this nightmare and felt nothing would bring his mother back.
That’s why EJ went home instead and ignored Stefan making out on the sofa with Chloe.
Since EJ looked all dirty and disheveled, Chloe and Stefan wondered if he’d been in an accident.
EJ admitted that his mother had been in an accident instead and confirmed that she was dead.
After EJ drank and threw his glass, he slid down to the floor and wallowed in guilt since he felt this was all his fault.
When Xander returned to Sarah in bed, she explained the latest updates on Susan.
Xander was taken aback to learn Susan couldn’t identify her kidnapper since she was dead!
