Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers preview for the week of July 25-29 teases that Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash) will get shot in a fatal mugging – and Alexander “Alex” Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) will debut with a necktie killer fake-out.
DOOL’s weekly preview video kicks off with a hint about a familiar mug.
Of course, that’s referring to Robert Scott Wilson’s return as someone other than Ben Weston.
Wilson will be tackling the role of Alex Kiriakis this time around – though the show will crack a joke that connects to Ben’s murderous past.
It turns out Sonny Kiriakis’ (Zach Tinker) brother will cause quite a stir at the Kiriakis mansion.
After Alex introduces himself to Bonnie Lockhart (Judi Evans), he’ll pretend he’s got a vendetta over her fatal feud with his biological mother, Anjelica Deveraux (Judith Chapman).
Alex will wrap a necktie around his hands and move in close like he’s going to murder Bonnie over his grudge.
However, Alex will eventually drop the act and admit he’s got no beef with Bonnie.
Anjelica didn’t raise Alex, so Adrienne Kiriakis (Judi Evans) was the only mom he ever knew.
Alex will confess he’s just joking around as Days offers a little nod to Ben’s sinister history.
“What the hell do I look like? Necktie killer?” Alex asks in the promo clip.
This whole situation will prove Alex has a sense of humor and give him some charm right off the bat.
Unfortunately, things won’t be nearly as light-hearted when danger erupts across town.
An armed man will put a gun to Nicole Walker’s (Arianne Zucker) head as a mugging apparently heads south.
Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) will try to calm the guy down, but someone’s still going to get hurt.
It turns out that someone will be Jake, who’ll take a bullet to the gut as Ava stands there in horror.
Days spoilers say Jake will die as a result of his gunshot wound, so this will bring a sudden tragedy for the DiMera family – one that EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) will try to take advantage of.
