Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) might frame Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) for Abigail DiMera’s (Marci Miller) murder. Will Xander launch a setup to keep Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) out of prison?
DOOL fans know Sarah can’t be sure she isn’t guilty.
Sarah worries she might’ve hallucinated and attacked Abigail thinking she was Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) that night.
However, there’s one huge tipoff that suggests Sarah is innocent.
The big reveal doesn’t come until the end of a Days whodunit – and we’re not done with the suspect list yet!
We can’t forget that Leo’s suspicious actions regarding that night still haven’t been exposed.
Xander recently had a run-in with Leo, so Days could already be setting the stage for an opportunity.
Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) remembered Sarah dropping something and picking it up at the DiMera mansion on her way out.
If that was the murder weapon, Xander could easily discover it hidden in his hotel suite.
Of course, that doesn’t mean Sarah is guilty since Abigail said “they” had a knife – implying more than one person was in her bedroom.
Even if Sarah had the bloody knife in her hands at one point, it doesn’t mean she did the plunging.
Regardless, it’s going to look bad if the murder weapon turns up in Sarah’s possession.
Xander could just get rid of the evidence, but he might revert to his old scheming ways and frame Leo instead.
After all, Xander has never been a big fan of Leo, who’ll be an easy target.
Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) will pay Xander a visit after she gets out of prison, so she might let some Leo info slip that could be useful.
Perhaps Gwen will mention how she feared her friend “Matty” might be responsible for Abigail’s murder at first.
That could get the wheels turning for Xander and make him settle on Leo for a frame-up.
We also know Xander had a prison alliance with Clyde Weston (James Read) in the past.
Clyde certainly wants Leo locked up for all the stolen jewelry drama, so Xander might have another angle to work.
Bottom line, Xander won’t want Sarah behind bars – and Leo has to land on the hot seat one way or another.
It makes sense for Xander set Leo up for the murder and cause more chaos.
