General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) may switch sides and betray Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell). Will Dex decide he wants Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) to be his real boss?
GH fans know Dex pushed hard for this job with Sonny, but he had ulterior motives.
It was later revealed that Dex was actually working for Michael, who’s using him as a plant for Sonny’s takedown.
However, we have to consider the possibility that Dex might have a change of heart.
There are times when Dex legitimately seems to enjoy the work he’s doing for Sonny, so that’s something to keep in mind.
After Michael advises Dex to make Sonny his mentor and get closer, that’ll affect Dex’s view, too.
Dex will see that Sonny is a pretty cool guy and not someone he really wants to destroy.
No one knows exactly how much Michael is paying Dex, but it’s probably a boatload since Dex is caught up in dangerous mob drama.
Michael would surely have to make it worth Dex’s while.
Even so, it seems like a mistake to settle for this short-term gig and a limited amount of cash. What happens after Dex completes the job?
Dex won’t have any money coming in – not to mention he’ll have vengeful Sonny on his back.
After Sonny goes after Felty (Brian Norris) the photographer, Dex should see first-hand what Sonny is capable of.
Felty may get quite a beating over his drug deals with Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson).
Dex could grow nervous over what’ll transpire when Sonny eventually finds out he’s working for the enemy.
Sonny certainly knows how to hold a grudge and could kill Dex if he’s not careful!
There’s a chance Dex will decide he wants out of Michael’s scheme.
Dex might determine that he’d rather genuinely prove himself to Sonny and become a key player in his organization.
A long-term position like that could be far more profitable for Dex.
As for the threat of violence, Dex may also think he’d better shift gears while he still can and avoid his own murder.
If there’s a situation where Dex can sink Michael’s plan and show he’s loyal to Sonny, he might take it.
Sonny will consider letting Dex replace Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), so now is the time for Dex to make some tough decisions about what’s next.
