General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) could be reactivated as Victor Cassadine’s (Charles Shaughnessy) plan heats up. Will Operation Demeter answers finally be revealed?
Back in March, a trap was set for Victor, who mistakenly assumed he’d reactivated Drew’s conditioning.
That led to a determined Victor grilling Drew about something from his Navy SEAL days.
Victor wanted to know more about Operation Demeter, but Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) arrived and inadvertently exposed Drew’s deception.
GH writers dropped that storyline for a while, but it feels like the right time to bring it back.
Now that Victor is in cahoots with Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) and wants to eliminate Laura Collins (Genie Francis) as an obstacle, his plan is obviously becoming a bigger part of the story again.
Victor still needs that information from Drew, so it’s possible he’ll somehow figure out the right reactivation sequence – with the correct tarot card this time!
If not, there might be some workaround that Victor finally discovers.
If the writers want Drew to be reactivated, then he’ll be reactivated. Drew previously worried that it could happen and that he might hurt Carly without meaning to.
Those old fears could become a reality if Victor drags Drew back into a world of programming drama. Drew’s conditioning makes him dangerous since he follows orders without any awareness at all.
Victor could unleash a scary side of Drew once more, but the show needs to pick back up the Operation Demeter angle regardless.
There was speculation that it might tie in with a new weather machine plot that Victor potentially has in the works.
This storyline has definitely been a slow one, but it seems poised to speed up in the coming months.
Victor is playing the long game here, but he’ll hope the payoff is worth it in the end.
