General Hospital (GH) spoilers for Friday, August 12, tease that Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) will try to unravel a mystery while Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) questions Cody Bell’s (Josh Kelly) story. Rory Cabrera (Michael Blake Kruse) will also face a Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) challenge, so let’s talk about what’s coming up in Port Charles.
At the PCPD, Dante will try to get to the bottom of why Cody punched Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner). Cody will recap the story, but Dante will wonder if Cody is really mad at Scott or if he’s mad at his mother instead.
Based on Cody’s version of events, his bio mom was Dominique Stanton (Shell Danielson). Cody was raised by the Bell family since Dominique couldn’t or wouldn’t raise him herself, so he clearly feels abandoned.
Since Cody also feels cheated out of his inheritance, Dante may urge his buddy to see that his anger is misplaced. None of this is Scott’s fault, so Cody owes him an apology.
Meanwhile, Britt will wonder if Cody’s even telling the truth. Part of Britt will question if Cody might’ve made the whole story up since he certainly doesn’t give off trustworthy vibes.
Scott may admit he has some doubts about Cody’s story, too. Dominique wasn’t the type of woman to abandon her child, so that may be an issue for Scott.
Plus, Dominique never mentioned Cody’s existence to Scott once he met her years later. None of this will make sense to Scott, but Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) will suggest maybe he didn’t know Dominique as well as he thought he did.
However, Cody’s anger was legit when he decked Scott – and the fact that he uses the last name “Bell” also backs up his story. There could be some deeper details that even Cody doesn’t understand, but he obviously isn’t lying.
At GH, Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) will continue her conversation with Rory and push for the truth about where he stands. Can Rory put his badge over Trina if it comes to that?
Rory might claim that he can or sidestep by insisting he’ll always do what’s right. Of course, things could get tricky for Rory soon since he’s been assigned to guard Oz Haggerty (Max Faugno) – and now Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) is on the verge of giving him a dangerous drug dose to wake him up.
Since the jury is on the verge of delivering a verdict, Portia knows she has to act now if she wants to save Trina. Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) will remain concerned about the risks, but Portia feels the gamble will be worth it if Oz wakes up and points the finger at Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl).
Over with TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow), he’ll talk about how it’s hard to be the bearer of bad news. TJ may tell Trina that Oz hasn’t woken up yet, but neither of them will realize Portia is about to carry out her sneaky plan.
Dante is set to make an unexpected arrest on Friday according to GH spoilers, but that could be referring to the one he just made. Sometimes spoiler info doesn’t quite match up with airdates, so Dante’s arrest may be more about throwing Cody in lockup.
It seems like Rory would make any necessary arrests at the hospital, but Portia will hopefully avoid one. We know Portia and Curtis will await Oz’s outcome once the plan’s carried out, so it sounds like they’ll both be free to watch and wait.
